So many times when I present a collection of images to a couple they'll find themselves overwhelmed with emotion. I've thought a lot about this and believe it's because so much happens so fast on a wedding day that your mind can only process a certain amount in the moment. When you see those authentic images that tell your story all of the information that your mind stored during your wedding is released. It's amazing how powerful images are. Immediately, this hobby turned into a passion. Friends, family, city, country, events, food, plants…you name it, I took a picture of it. I'm Alexa & that's my husband Evan, a biologist by day and the best second shooter in the world by night. We're a wife-and-husband duo who love people, dogs, bad dancing, new friendships, hiking, libraries, Sour Patch Kids, and genuine love in all its many forms. I started photographing weddings after working for a few years in the music industry. I loved the rush of a live performance - from the completely unpredictable nature of each show to the joy on the faces of every audience member, I adored everything about those performances.
