The Connection Band was originated and led by Darryl Grayson in 1982. The band was formally the original house band known as The French Connection at a local night spot in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Since its beginning, Connection has a high energy stage show that really excites the audience from beginning to end. We have a large variety of Dance/Club Mix, Ballads, Classic R&B and 70s songs sure to satisfy all music lovers. We have opened for entertainers such as The Manhattans, Anita Baker, Phyllis Hyman , The Temptations, Little Richard, Betty Wright and Jennifer Holiday. Clutch, a prodigious group of youngsters from Birmingham, Alabama is beginning to take the music world by storm. Susan started playing violin at an early age under the direction of Katherine Sasaki of The Katherine Sasaki Suzuki Violin School Academy. After her completion of the Academy, she studied with Anne Foreman. During her adolescent career she performed with various groups including the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and Northwest Symphony Orchestra.
