Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

5.0

Oklahoma City, OK
  • Serves Burlington, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

I so enjoyed doing my own flowers for my wedding. Flower Moxie made it so easy and affordable, especially as they shipped to a warehouse in my town. Working with Sue and the team made me feel comfortable with the process, especially as my timeline required me to get the flowers earlier than ideal. They turned out PERFECT!!

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

Redlands, CA
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Burlington, CT

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
We used Faux Bouquets for our wedding, and the ease of ordering and quality of flowers that we got was great! Everyone complimented the flowers and were surprised that they were fake, and the spring floral suite we got matched our spring wedding perfectly. We got the 'I do' keepsake and the custom cherry blossoms they added to the main bouquet was more than I had hoped for!

Farm Couture Flowers

5.0

Ashford, CT
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Burlington, CT

Farm Couture Flowers is the design studio at Muddy Feet Flower Farm. I grow over 100 varieties of cut flowers from April through November and incorporate them into lush garden-style arrangements and bouquets.

Where to begin? Kristin is an artist. In the age of insane wedding Pinterest boards and over-planning every detail, we gladly handed the floral design and aesthetics over to Kristin. She uses her own flowers from her farm, so she's both local and sustainable, and if you're interested in supporting a small, woman-owned business, this is the way to go. We trusted her direction and expertise and it was the best decision we could have made. When we walked into our venue on the day-of, we were both floored. It was so much better than I could have even imagined; we received so many sincere compliments from guests. Our wedding photographer said he thought they were the best wedding flowers he'd seen. The floral design was original, organic, and creative, and the greenery was gorgeous. If you choose Kristin as your florist, trust her to lead the way. It'll be better than anything you could have imagined!

Brittany was absolutely incredible to work with! Brittany designed the flowers for our wedding and we were so impressed by her work. Our guests were shocked to find out that our flowers were faux silk flowers. She was so easy to work with and was able to turn our vision into a reality. Since the flowers were faux flowers I was able to pick them up several months before the wedding - meaning one less item to worry about the morning of our wedding. I would highly recommend Brittany - she is the best!

Ayla truly made a dream a reality. I had few words to describe what I was looking for for our wedding flowers... just a rough concept and few pictures of other weddings I liked. In the conversations we had with Ayla leading up to the wedding, she was able to just get a perfect sense of who we were and the flowers that reflected us as a couple. I'll never forget seeing the arbor for the first time and thinking it was above & beyond what I had envisioned. Nothing about Ayla's designs feel standard or typical. They are all unique works of art! Couldn't thank her & her team enough. Hands down my favorite part of the wedding design.
