I’m Rachel, owner of Bayside Studios. I’ve always had a passion for creativity, and in 2017, I was blessed with the opportunity to take photography from my favorite hobby to my dream career. I’m a published photographer on the ESVA and I have found that I have a true talent for capturing real moments, and an eye for bringing out my client’s personalities. I am so passionate about helping my clients record the moments they never want to forget through the art of photography. I specialize in a romantic and enchanting style, where I allow my client’s to be free and raw in any setting and environment they are looking to capture.

Hi there! I grew up in a small town up north in Wisconsin. I married the most amazing guy ever shortly after I turned 21. I am currently living in Maryland. I am a very active person so there are many things I enjoy doing. I first discovered my love for photography when I was pretty young and got a Barbie film camera for my birthday, I hauled that thing everywhere with me, haha. I strive to meet every clients dream session. I specialize in weddings and engagements but I do almost every kind of photography you can imagine, from family to seniors to wedding to maternity to couples.

As your wedding photographer, I take on more of a documentary approach and prefer to shoot with little interruption throughout your big day. Sure there will be times where posing is necessary, but for the most part, I know just how much planning and work and detail has gone into this celebration of the start of your marriage. I will be there for you to document the connection with you and your person with your genuine, honest emotions as the focus.

I am a photographer, coordinator, artist, friend, and romantic documenting unscripted moments of life and love. I’m Josephine, or Jo for short. I take photos of a lot of different things, but I am always inspired by efficient design (think Bauhaus), movement and authenticity. Most of my photography is digital, but I love film so my editing style is reminiscent of that. Every once in a while I shoot a roll of film to document my own life which mainly consists of the following: getting outside, being active, telling my dog I love him, advocating for environmental protection, working my full time job and let’s be honest, spending way too much time staring at screens.
