Hi! I'm Amy Ronk, a photographer currently based in Denver, CO. After attending photography school, weddings kind of stole my heart. I love love of every kind, and it's always such an honor to be considered to capture your wedding day. I focus mainly on candid moments, and showcasing the emotions of the day. I’m Gesina, the owner and principal photographer of Gesina Marie Photography. I love being able to share in the love of two individuals and feel blessed to work with such wonderful people each day. I am a lifestyle photographer who appreciates the raw reality of everyday life, the fleeting beauty of in between moments. Boris Null, my husband is my second shooting at every wedding. He is the peanut butter to my jam. I am a little over the top and easily get excited about photography, while Boris keeps the whole process grounded. He knows how to keep the groomsmen pre ceremony party going all while capturing every special photo.

I am constantly itching to explore whether it is weekend trips to the Colorado mountains or jetting away to a new International destination to try all the food and see all the things. I enjoy having a nice glass of wine which luckily involves being in amazing company (even if it’s just the dogs and I). Eating tacos a least once a week is a standard in our house.

The greek myth from which the phrase “halcyon days” is derived, is one of great love ending in a time of joy and calm. A euphoric recollection of the past and an optimistic reverence for the future. Echo denotes a feeling of resonance and return. Because our memories and dreams are almost never linear-they are organic-abstracted from reality and, often, largely defined by touch, scent and, of course, sight. My hope is to create imagery that will reflect the deepest of fully felt emotion from this day, back to you. Working with analog & digital processes from Denver, Colorado.

I care so much about preserving memories. I have stacks of my kids coloring pages all over because it pains me to throw any of their art away. I am constantly reminded each time I see a new freckle on their noses how fast time is moving before me. I want to be able to go directly back in time to the moments that I cherish the most.
