The original Sagamore Inn was built in 1900 along the old road to Provincetown, located further east on Route 6A next to Knowlton’s Auto Salvage. It burned down in 1930. The Sandwich Independent newspaper chronicled that the town’s efforts had failed to save the Inn. The New Bedford Standard Times took the town to task for not having enough pumpers and hydrants to handle the blaze.

We’ve redesigned our venue and updated our services to provide a variety of experiences customized for you and your guests. With Falmouth Harbor and Vineyard Sound as your backdrop, our Harbor Lights deck offers a gorgeous location for your ceremony. Our setup includes white seating for guests and use of our arbor. Our newly renovated second-floor event space features a grand stairway entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wrap around deck overlooking Falmouth Harbor. Our space sports a marble-top bar and a sizable dance floor with space for live entertainment or a DJ. A wall of accordion glass doors opens the room to the deck, creating a seamless transition from the dance floor to the deck. Carefully designed menus provide a wide variety of dining options. Wellfleet Preservation Hall provides a perfect setting for your special event, with two spacious halls, beautifully landscaped grounds and garden, Wellfleet Preservation Hall is a magnificent site for every style of event from intimate gatherings to lavish weddings. Two famous hand-carved doors created by folk artist Jonathan Kendall welcome visitors to the upstairs Simone Reagor Hall. Special features have been preserved, including; pressed-tin ceilings, wood wainscoting, stained glass windows, a slate roof, and stunning crystal chandeliers. The lower hall, has a restored stage, a new sound and lighting system and the Hall is equipped with a commercial kitchen, elevator, six bathrooms and lobby spaces. The building is fully air-conditioned and handicapped accessible. Wellfleet Preservation Hall offers many different options to accommodate your event. We will also work with you individually to assist you with local caterers and other vendors to make your special day memorable.
