Hi! I am Courtney, owner and designer at Posies. I have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Horticulture and 20 years of experience in floral design and weddings. I have designed in Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah. I am based in the Boise, Idaho area, but will travel for your event. My love of flowers came from being around the sweet smell of lilacs, full fluffy peonies, and beautiful ruffled roses in my grandmothers' gardens. There were always little posies of blooms in vases around their homes and "Posies" is named after this precious memory.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

As a special event florist my mission is to create original, quality, lasting keepsake florals, which reflect the beauty and eternal love that they help celebrate. Everything from first contact to completion is done solely through me. Yep, I’m a one-woman show. I love having personal interactions with all my clients and customers. Creating something truly unique for you is my greatest passion. I started working with wood flowers in February of 2020. A friend of mine had recently gotten married, and seeing her bouquet in the trash stuck with me. I researched fresh vs silk flowers, fresh are stunning but expensive & have a fast expiration date. Silk flowers didn’t really satisfy the customization and realism that I desired. I stumbled across wood flowers, purchased a few & quickly realized that not only was I actually a little talented at what I was doing, but I absolutely LOVED doing it. I fell in love almost immediately. I want to express my love & passion for these wood flowers & I want brides to fall in love the same way I did.
