Motor City HDJ started in 1999 as a way to pay for college. The more of my friends' weddings I attended, the more I realized how many bad DJs are out there in the world. I decided at that point I was going to be the "anti-DJ," committing myself to do the opposite of the things that bad DJs do.

I started as a wedding DJ back in early 2013. I quickly started to realize that this is the profession I could spend the rest of my life doing. I've performed everything from weddings to your corner bar. I've earned a Bachelor of Science from Oakland University, but could not avoid my passion for wedding entertainment. Those who know would say I'm well versed, exciting, and pleasant to be around. To this day I have performed at well over 300 weddings as well as many other types events. I am engaged myself and know how hard planning a wedding can be which is why I'm excited to help you plan your special day!

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.

As a wedding DJ with over 15 years of experience, I have perfected the craft of producing music and entertaining small to large crowds at a wide array of events. I am passionate about making sure your dream wedding turns out exactly how you envisioned it – awesome and stress-free. My team and I ensure that your event celebrations run smoothly and my services enhance the whole experience, making it memorable and fun.
