Hi! My name is Valerie! I am a hopeless romantic who wants to be behind the lens of your love story. I fell in love with photography in my high school darkroom. I went on to major in media and communication at University of Washington with a focus on visual arts. I have always been a story teller, a big feeler and obsessed with all things love, so photographing weddings is quite literally living my dream. I have photographed over 130 weddings and have the same passion for them as when I first started. I cannot see myself doing anything else.

I like to think of myself as a professional Washingtonian. Born and raised, the PNW is in my blood and my soul. Next to the PNW and Photography, love is my passion. I know, I know! That sounds so terribly cheesy. But I’ve been fully OBSESSED since childhood. I believe in the power of love, I believe in the power of YOUR love. Hearing the stories of the couples I meet- excuse me while I cry- is so unexplainably powerful. I can’t imagine a more fulfilling job than this one- one that allows me to build genuine relationships with incredible people, create a comfortable environment to be creative together, and celebrate each other’s weird!

I started off shooting only landscapes, then gradually I started developing a love for portraits and weddings! Like most children in the late 90's and early 00's, I grew up with a camera in my hand. I went through polaroids, video cameras, disposable cameras, waterproof cameras, and film cameras; all the cameras! I was so fascinated by photography and the ability to preserve moments. I'm an ENFP, 7w6, and extroverted-introvert who is not only thrilled but humbled to be a witness and historian to the significant moments in your life we are able to share together!

I'm here for the couples that want their wedding to be a damn good time. Whether it's a massive weekend-long wedding with a 30 person wedding party, or a vibrant backyard love celebration with an epic playlist, I will be there to make sure every awesome moment is captured in all its glory!

Hey there! I’m Emma. I’m a sassy, sarcastic redhead and also a complete sap. To keep it short, I value relationships and experiences above nothing else (although some would say I have a serious West Elm and pizza addiction as well). I love reminiscing and think some of the best nights involve sharing a bottle of wine with old friends and laughing about all of our past adventures (while planning new ones too!). When I think about it, I know I was meant to be a wedding photographer - because I admire your relationship, understand how important this journey to marriage is for you two and understand the importance of documenting it.
