Built in the middle 1948 from timber on the property. This cabin is made from hand hued logs and hand mixed concrete for the foundation. In the early 60s Lyman Winfrey bought the cabin and moved his family from the city of Spirit Lake to the cabin. In 2008 the Winfrey family remodeled the cabin to add better heating, new flooring, and more. In 2020 the Winfrey’s made more updates to host the wedding of their daughter, updating the landscape and other amenities. We know you will fall in love with the quiet and calm ambience of the wooded property that has hosted some of our family's most special occasions and casual weekend retreats. With the Cabin just a 5 min walk to the lake down the street and gorgeous landscape for a beautiful outdoor event!

We have many beautiful areas to take bridal and family photos and different spaces to hang out and play lawn games or horseshoes and a nice firepit area to roast smores and visit at the end of the night when you just don't want the evening to end. We have a private beach for picture purposes, not big enough for ceremonies, but if you want to arrive via raft from the river, you can do so on our private beach. Our wedding package is more than a venue, it is a weekend package that includes two nights lodging for up to 26 people in beds and allows you to spend more quality time with your friends and family.
