At the age of 15 I began taking horticulture & floral design classes & fell in love with all aspects of floral design from that moment on. I feel that I am truly lucky to be one of the few people out there who found my true passion in life so early. Nearly 20 years later I still feel the same excitement & love I always have for being a floral designer. My love for what I do is how I am able to meet my goal of exceeding the expectations of each & every individual that I work with. There is not one style or budget that each person should have to conform to for their floral needs & desires to be beautiful.

Rachel’s relationship with flowers spans a lifetime and two generations. Growing up as a young girl in her mother’s Bronx-based flower shop, Rachel had always been design-oriented. Her love of shape, color, and texture led her first to fashion and eventually back to flowers.

Amy Gofton’s twin passions have always been fashion and flowers. She worked in fashion for decades, ultimately overseeing accessories as Vice President of Design at Kate Spade. There, she honed the skills of developing brand stories, layering textures and color, and understanding how shapes interact with space.

I graduated from Cornell University with a business degree and prior to founding Bride & Blossom worked in finance, PR and TV news production. After planning and designing my wedding in 2008 I was inspired to pursue floral design and event decor professionally. I received many compliments on the flowers and the venue coordinator referred brides that were interested in “my florist”! With my combined business acumen, production experience, and flair for design, I saw the perfect opportunity to start my business, and B&B was born. When I’m not flowering, I love to cook (more-so eat), go on hikes and spend beach days in Belmar where I can watch my husband, Kirk, play volleyball. I’ve backpacked solo across 7 countries and traveled to many more. I love all the ADVENTURE! If it's not plain to see, I love working with flowers and creating special moments for our clients. We take on a limited amount of events per season so we can cater to each client personally so don't hesitate to reach out!
