Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK
    • Serves Marshall, TX

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
All of the flowers arrived very well packaged and in great condition. Their guides made everything so easy to put together but to be honest me and my bridesmaids had a great time making each bouquet a little different and unique to ourselves. I made 5 bridesmaid Bouquets, one bigger bridal bouquet, 4 bouts and still had left over flowers to make a centerpiece. Definitely get your moneys worth. If you are looking for a way to save money and have time to DIY then I highly recommend.

When I was looking for flowers for my wedding, I wanted to do something “different”. I looked around for wood flower providers and wasn’t impressed until fate smiled on me and I came across Jen and Wood & Word Blooms. Her response time was crazy fast, and after one phone call and a couple of emails, she knew exactly what I wanted. I happen to live near Jen, so I ended up picking up my bouquets from her house. They were packaged with care, and she gave me some extras she had painted, which I ended up using in my and my flower girl’s hair. Her thoughtfulness in providing some extra supplies “just in case”, is a wonderful thing you won’t find with just any vendor. Everyone complimented us on the bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages. Many people still have them on display in their homes. If you want someone who truly cares about your vision and who honestly cares about providing a quality product, call Jen. She’s amazing!

    Redlands, CA
    • Starts at $175
    • Serves Marshall, TX

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

They did exactly what I wanted and they look just like real flowers. I actually ordered my bouquet a year in advance and it was still perfect come the wedding day. It makes me happy having it where I can keep it and cherish it forever without worrying about wilting.

We worked with Bloom Culture for our wedding and the process was easy and fun! Alison created beautiful flower recipes that were exactly what I pictured. The tutorial videos make the assembly process easy to follow and it was a lot of fun customizing the bouquets to my liking while using the flower formulas as a guide. Woodsy floral

    5.0

    Cleburne, TX
    • Starts at $750
    • Serves Marshall, TX

Woodsy Floral started by accident believe it or not. Flowers have always been a part of my husband and I’s marriage. Every Friday or every other Friday my husband, Lonnie would go get fresh stems from the floral shop down the road from our house. With crazy looks he grabbed them. This turned into me making arrangements for our events. When some of our friends saw these floral arrangements, they asked if we could make more for their events. We had one friend that owns a wedding venue, she brought up becoming a vendor for her brides. Well after a little bit of pressuring from Lonnie, we attended her open house as a floral vendor and LOVED IT.

    Awarded Best of Zola
We found Lonny and his wife on short notice and were not at all disappointed. All of the questions were answered, all of our desires were created and all of our worries were gone! I sent Lonny a picture of what I was picturing and he worked so hard to make our flowers look so incredibly beautiful! Communicated wonderfully and was very transparent. We loved our flowers so much and our guests did too! Some even tried recreating their own centerpieces afterwards because of how much they loved the flowers. He was a huge help in setting up our flowers for the ceremony and reception. He helped our day of coordinator in random ways just out of kindness. I’m a big detail person and we just loved so much how he not only work so hard on our flowers, but he checked in with the groom and see how he was doing and feeling, told me I looked beautiful, AND he even assisted in our wedding pictures because we had wild wind. We loved having Woodsy floral be a part of our special day!!
