“Can’t say enough about our experience from start to finish with the Philly Custom DJ team! We first met with Adam who right away was super friendly and energetic about making sure our DJ experience was how WE envisioned it. He was so personable it felt like we knew him for years. Numerous video calls were held in the early months to make sure we had all of the resources we needed to make playlists and plan our timeline. Scheduling meetings was always super easy through their calendar and Adam’s communication was great & really put us at ease. He was always super responsive if we emailed him questions and was flexible when we had to make changes to our package. The portal was also a HUGE help during the entire planning process. It allowed us to listen to and add songs to custom playlists, create/edit the wedding timeline, pay invoices, assign songs to certain events, etc. The portal really made everything so easy that I can’t imagine not having it while planning. The DJs for our wedding were Alex and Jack. Again, leading up to our wedding there was incredible communication about song selection, our timeline, the venue and everything in between. I mean this as a compliment - there were many times where we didn’t notice the DJ team! By that I mean their setup and take down process and moving across our venue was seamless. Our venue had 3 different locations on-site for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. They were able to seamlessly set up and move between each location without any break in music. At the reception, Alex & Jack kept the music on theme with our vibe but also played to the crowd so that there was always plenty of people up & dancing. If we had a change in plan or wanted to add something, they were fine doing it on the fly. We were having such a good time that we asked to extend for an hour (with payment) and they were totally happy to stay. They were incredibly accommodating! Philly Custom DJ was one of the first DJs we looked at and we knew almost immediately they were the people we needed for our wedding. So glad we had them for entertainment - they definitely contributed to how perfect our day went. Cannot recommend enough!!”

“We're writing this 4 days after our wedding, finally recovered from the absolute banger of a wedding that Alex DJ'ed. Our bodies are still sore from dancing all night and not sitting down. No one warned us how physically demanding it was to dance an entire night non-stop. We first met Alex when he was DJing our friends’, Addie & Loui’s, wedding in 2022. We were so impressed by how much thought and creativity went into his mixes and his ability to adapt the music based on the crowd's energy that night. The wedding planning process went very smoothly! During our calls, you could really tell how passionate Alex is about what he does. When we mentioned our favorite songs, he was so enthusiastic and immediately started working on mixes during the call. We loved the app he provided (Vibo), which allowed us to add songs and answer timeline questions for every aspect of our special day. On the wedding day, everything went smoothly and with no technical difficulties. He had enough equipment and staffing to handle the outdoor courtyard ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (which all happened on separate floors). He played every song we asked for and was even able to fulfill a last minute request to surprise the bride with a flash mob that the groom organized. Our guests loved the PhotoBooth, which printed duplicates for our guest book. The booth attendants were very helpful providing instructions to fill out the guestbook. Alex is an incredibly talented artist, and you could tell that every detail of our dance party was expertly curated to make sure no one wanted to leave the dance floor. He poured his heart and soul into DJing that night, and every guest made sure to tell us how our night felt less like a reception and more like a set at a music festival. He seamlessly segued between genres and made sure he was able to fit in as much of our requests as possible. “Where do I start? We had Jeffrey Lang from Baltimore Sound, and I could not have asked for a more fun and memorable wedding. Jeff and the whole team were extremely professional, timely, knowledgeable, entertaining, and prepared. We had the pleasure of hearing Jeff at his residencies in the Baltimore area. I said a few times several years ago that if we ever get married, that will be our DJ. When we first started planning, I reached out to a few vendors and friends and Baltimore Sound came unanimously recommended. Low and behold it turned out to be Jeff’s company! Baltimore Sound covered our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, which were all in different places on the same property. The transition was seamless. By the time the ceremony was over, the music in the cocktail room was already set up, and same with the ceremony. Jeff and his assistant came dressed sharp and professionally and they truly delivered A Plus First Class service. Baltimore Sound and Jeff literally had ALL of our guests of all ages dancing ALL night. They had all of our songs that we requested, even some more obscure songs we wanted, and the timing of their playing could not have been better. We requested some songs in advance, but left the rest up to Jeff and he completely nailed down our vibe and did a great job, reading the room and deciding when to play what type of song. It was truly seamless and perfectly executed. Baltimore sound also provided our lighting including a gorgeous gobo light with our names. It elevated the entire experience. Jeff and his assistant did a wonderful job communicating with our coordinator and other vendor team and I never had to be bothered with a question. There was honestly not a single hiccup during the entire night, but had there have been, I have full faith that Jeff and Baltimore Sound would have responded, professionally and efficiently. Before the wedding, Jeff communicated with me and stayed in touch. He responded to all my questions and gave me every bit of information needed to ease any worries in the planning process. “Goody Blue Shoes (GBS) is THE best wedding band. My husband Brad and I looked at a number of bands in the Philadelphia area and none was the right fit...until I met John. I was touring a local venue with my mother-in-law and GBS was warming up. I kid you not - they played two chords of a song I don't happen to like (sorry John, but it goes with the story!) and I was FLOORED. I said to my MIL "I need to get their card" and they heard me whisper from the back of the room. I called John and INSTANTLY felt comfortable with him. He answered all of my probing questions, wanted to lean more about what I was looking for in my traditional Jewish wedding and joked with me about the crazy spelling of my maiden name. We talked for a long time! I told my husband (then fiancé) we MUST to go listen to GBS play a set. Two notes into "You Are The Best Thing" and he was hooked. We spent the next year and a half working out all of the details with John and it was never only about business, it became a friendship. We talked constantly to iron out all of the details and ensure our day was exactly what we had envisioned. John made SURE of that. Our wedding was incredible and a HUGE part of that was because of John and the entire GBS crew. Our family and friends still (two months later) couldn't stop talking about how great they were. Our one friend remarked - "we went to another wedding the night before yours and it was fun, but your wedding was F-U-N, FUN, because of the band." He even got John's card! I quickly became a self-proclaimed GBS groupie and continually encourage engaged friends to hire them - fingers crossed. I also have to mention that GBS traveled from South Jersey all the way to our suburban wedding which isn't right around the corner and for a band of their talent and their size, they are EXTREMELY reasonably-priced. One of the many things I love about John is that he helped me iron out details that weren't even related to the band and offered sound advice and reminders that at the end of the day, we'd be married no matter what. He reassured me that everything would work out. We are eternally grateful to John and GBS for making our wedding the best day ever! “We had an amazing experience working with Jamie (DJ Casanova) for our wedding in October 2022 (been meaning to write a review for so long)! Jamie was very professional throughout the whole planning process. We actually hired him in 2020 but we had to postpone our wedding twice because of covid (he was very flexible and made the postponement process very smooth). We met virtually/over the phone a few times and he assured us he was available to meet as many times as we'd like. Closer to our wedding date, we had a more formal meeting where we went through the timeline of the whole reception detail by detail. He had a form where we put in all the information, which showed he was experienced at the job. I was very particular about the type of music I wanted to be played at our reception and he was super easy-going about it and assured us that he was there to implement our vision. On our actual wedding day, everything went as planned and honestly even better than I could have ever imagined! I love to dance and so do many of our guests, and thanks to Jamie, the dance floor was never empty even for one second! He knew how to read the room and change the music accordingly.
