I've been photographing weddings for 25 yeas in 2024! I love capturing authentic moments in true color. I went to college to learn photography and business. I've always wanted to be a photographer, and my studio specializes in weddings, maternity, newborns, and family photography. I believe in capturing all of the milestone moments for you, from when your family begins to when your kids go to college.

Irene of IJ Photos is a highly-skilled and respected photographer, but also one of the kindest, most sincere people you will ever meet in your life. It is that focus on people and their relationships that allows her couples to just relax and enjoy themselves knowing that Irene has all the shots covered. And it's those relaxed moments where the authentic relationship of a couple can shine through. Knowing that you're going to get great photos is certainly reason enough to hire Irene. But a big bonus is that you have her by your side while you're planning your wedding. She will often meet with couples at their venue - even if she's been there many times - to show them different spots and talk about lighting and such. As a colleague in the wedding industry, I respect her so much that I hired her to take our family photos last year.

Snohomish, WA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,200

My style is rooted in a editorial and documentary approach, allowing me to narrate your unique love story through timeless images that capture genuine emotions. I prioritize unscripted moments, such as the reaction of your spouse as you walk up the aisle, the inside joke that makes you break out in laughter or the tears as your loved ones share thoughtful memories during toasts. These intimate details hold immense significance to me. As your photographer, I bring a heartfelt and genuine perspective, ensuring that your wedding day is portrayed in a way that truly reflects you and preserves the memories you'll cherish forever.

My fiancé and I loved working with Lucia! She did an engagement photo session with us, and the whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. She set up a video call to get to know us, get a sense for who we were and what we were looking for, and then was super helpful and communicative when picking a location for the shoot. She was able to share sites she had used before with photos from those locations, and she shared input from other photographers on locations we thought of that she hadn't used before. When we started looking for a photographer we were apprehensive about the whole thing because we're both by nature pretty awkward in front of a camera, but she made us super comfortable and you can tell how relaxed we were when looking at the photos. We genuinely had family members say "now that's what I think of when I picture you two" when they saw our photos. She even asked for some of our favorite music and had it playing when we started, which was super thoughtful! For the shoot itself, she gave us plenty of direction but was also really collaborative and open to any of our ideas for poses or shots or areas of the location to use. We were worried on the way to the shoot because it was rainy when we first showed up at the park, but right away she had ideas for how to still find usable areas and took some great shots, and even had some clear umbrellas that made for a cute look. When the rain let up, we were able to get some wide shots that really took advantage of the location and she did a fantastic job of editing out the groups of oblivious sightseers that walked into frame. The photos definitely capture us as a couple and showcased the location we chose. After the session we got our preview gallery back in record time. She told us she was going out of town on a family trip a few days after our shoot but she'd get our preview turned around before she left so that we didn't have to wait, and she totally delivered (and probably 3x the amount she promised, so she even overdelivered). We got the full gallery back exactly when she said, and they all look amazing; we loved the experience and the photos we get to share with family and friends.

Mountlake Terrace, WA

Hi! My name is Valerie! I am a hopeless romantic who wants to be behind the lens of your love story. I fell in love with photography in my high school darkroom. I went on to major in media and communication at University of Washington with a focus on visual arts. I have always been a story teller, a big feeler and obsessed with all things love, so photographing weddings is quite literally living my dream. I have photographed over 130 weddings and have the same passion for them as when I first started. I cannot see myself doing anything else.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I booked Valerie after we had to cancel our first wedding date due to covid since our initial photographer wasn't available. We are so thankful we did! After canceling, my husband and I decided to exchange vows in New Orleans and it was an absolute DREAM! Valerie was more than willing to come along with us. Not only was Valerie the absolutely sweetest and so easy to work with, but she captured some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. Several of which look straight out of a magazine. A friend I know who is in the wedding industry said they were the most beautiful wedding pictures she has ever seen. Thank you Valerie for the perfect dream day! We will forever cherish the pictures you captured for us.

Jenny GG has been an absolute joy to work with from day one. From our engagement photo shoots up to the day of our wedding we have felt seen, respected, and downright giddy to have her with us. Jenny captures the most beautiful and sentimental moments in photographs that will last a lifetime. Our friends and families are still stunned by our engagement and wedding photos. Most importantly, we both felt comfortable every step of the way – and it shows! Jenny knows how to position couples of all different shapes and sizes, and rolls with whoever wants to be the “big spoon.” During our introductions she said her pronouns and checked back with us over a year later for potential updated pronouns. Jenny is inclusive, energetic, and incredibly positive. We had a blast with her every moment and would highly recommend her as a professional photographer.

I was fortunate enough to find Garrett and Gracie's contact information at the cafe I worked at on a 2023 goals poster that I made. Right when we got in contact with them we clicked immediately. I have always been critical of photos taken of me, but Gracie and Garrett were able to capture moments that made me feel confident and beautiful. And they captured our wedding in full and we love that we can look over the album and revisit all the excitement and feelings we had on our wedding day and the day after up at Mt. Rainier when we exchanged out private vows. The way they capture light in their photos is like no other. Not only will you receive fantastic photos with Gracie and Garrett you will also make great friends!!!! Thank you again for your amazing work!!!!!!

Sage Trails, LLC - Adventure Elopement & Intimate Wedding Photographer

5.0

Lake Stevens, WA
  • Photojournalistic style

***I specialize in small events! Elopements and Micro Weddings. Hi Friends! I'm Alexandria! I'm a bubbly, dog lover who loves exploring and experiencing new things, so I'm so lucky to have found my home in Washington. I'm obsessed with tall trees, could stare at the waves crashing against the beach for hours, and love the jaw-dropping feeling I get when I see something truly just majestic in the mountains.

Awarded Best of Zola
I honestly cannot speak more highly of Alexandria. I was a 2020 bride and when we decided to cancel our wedding due to COVID, we were almost completely heartbroken. We booked with Alexandria back in 2018, shortly after we got engaged (she was our first choice after working with her for a styled shoot in Chicago, even after she relocated to WA -- no one else could compete with her, believe me, I looked HARD!). We wanted to keep our original date, but had no idea how to get married and still preserve any sort of sentiment. I called Alexandria to break the news that we'd be canceling our wedding of 300 people and shared the heartbreak and disappointment and defeat I felt. She was beyond what I needed at that time and quickly went from photographer to wedding planner and helped us reimagine a new, non-traditional, equally beautiful, equally sentimental wedding. She stuck with us through the entire planning process (we had to change venues a couple times) and she was incredibly thoughtful and patient throughout. The day of the wedding, she was like part of our family (my mom said she would happily adopt her and my dad sang her praises -- everyone was SO impressed with her). She was incredibly professional, organized, selfless, and made an effort to learn the names of our 20 guests. She helped us incorporate everything we wanted from our big wedding into this smaller, more intimate ceremony (including finding a gorgeous nearby park for us to take some photos). She captured EVERY moment, emotion, smile, tear, laugh (literally every single one -- I don't know how she does it). I usually hate my pictures, but there were so many to choose from and we all still gush over our wedding photos. Alexandria has a very unique way about her, where she carries herself so professionally, but can make you feel like you've known each other for years at the same time. She has such an ease about her, yet she is very intentional about what she does. She is SO insanely talented, and is as good a person as she is a photographer. She is a unicorn; we would not have been able to have half the wedding we did without her. Like I said in the beginning, I cannot say enough about her, but I'll leave you with this: this is one easy decision you'll never regret if you book her. Wishing you all the best, safe, and happy wedding planning!

Kyle Olthoff Weddings

Lynnwood, WA
  • Photojournalistic style

In 2015, my journey into photography kicked off when I bought a camera from a pawn shop without breaking the bank. Discovering the fascination of capturing moments through photos and videos, I swiftly pivoted my career focus towards photography and videography. Now, after 8 years, my lens has traversed the expanse of numerous weddings, countless music videos, and a diverse array of corporate and social media content all across the United States. It's been a journey of storytelling through the art of visuals.

I highly recommend Kyle & Team for your wedding video! They are organized, adventurous, & professional! And they are at the top of the trusted vendor list that I provide to clients.
