We had our wedding and reception at Black Creek Ridge Flower Farm. Everything turned out great. The owners are very personable and easy to work with. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. They have connections with the local vendors. That put our mind at ease knowing that they’ve worked together before and everything would run smoothly. The carriage house, on site, made it convenient and easy for me and my girls to get ready in before the ceremony. The property is beautiful. I had about 80 guests and it felt like any more than that would have been too crowded. We so are glad we chose the flower farm!!

We need 10 stars, 100 stars. Mica and Theron and their team brought our dream wedding to life - both ceremony and reception. I was nervous about wedding planning - all the things to coordinate, how are you sure that you are picking the right vendors, how do you KNOW that things will be done the way you envision..... Mica's list of vendors was a phenomenal place to start, and when many of them were booked (we planned our wedding in less than 6 months), she assisted with sourcing other vendors. My husband and I were buying a house, selling two homes, our daughter was graduating from high school and heading off to college - and we were overwhelmed. Mica brought a sense of calm and high confidence that she and her team had everything under control all the time. We worked together over email, and in person, and every interaction was personal and professional and FUN! Mica's wedding coordination services are included in the booking of their venue (The Windamere) and she and her husband Theron went above and beyond in every aspect. A few examples... she found the perfect picture frames and edited/printed the photos we wanted to use for our table numbers. she utilized glass candleholders she already had (various shapes and sizes) combined with beach sand, sea glass and seashells to beautifully decorate our tables. she made a personal phone call to the owner of a local restaurant to be sure that they could accommodate a day-after-wedding brunch for my family. The Windamere is SUCH a gorgeous venue. The bridal suite is perfect for getting ready the morning of, and my husband and his groomsmen loved the "Stag Room". [TBH, many of us ended up in the Stag Room throughout the reception!] The dance floor is perfectly located to be sure that guests who remain seated are still part of the activity and everyone feels included. The upstairs vault is such a gorgeous backdrop for a ceremony, and then a reception bar. The uplighting complimented the colors of our wedding (various ocean blues) and the entire space is meticulously maintained and thoughtfully decorated. The two balconies above the main floor are perfect for photos. And Mica's standard practice of bringing the bridal couple up to one of the balconies right after the ceremony - and to a waiting bottle of cold champagne! - is a phenomenal moment!! My husband and I had some quality "alone time" in the moments after becoming husband and wife - we could still hear our guests having a great time, and the music from our DJ, but it was just us. Such a VERY special time! Mica was our officiant as well, and exceeded our already high expectations! Tremendous attention to detail for every part of our ceremony, the transition to the reception and the flow of the reception itself made sure that everything was executed flawlessly - as far as we knew!!! I'm 100% positive that there were things which went sideways, or not as expected/intended, but we were not aware of ANY of it until well after the event when we were laughing and telling stories. :-) I should have apologized at the beginning for the length of this recommendation, but if you've read this far, we'll leave you with this. You cannot go wrong trusting Mica and Theron and their team at The Windamere with your big day. Whatever your vision, they will listen, have fantastic recommendations, and make sure that this important, intimate day is all about the two of you.

Though I'm not a bride/couple that has utilized the Civic Center as a venue, I can offer a different perspective on the space. I'm a videographer, and frequently film at the Lima Civic Center. The team there has always been very professional and treated me with courtesy. They've helped out when needed (like when a counterpart needed a quiet place to deal with a medical issue). They make me feel like I'm part of their team when I'm there. I've seen how they interact with wedding patrons and families, and I would not hesitate to recommend the Civic Center to couples. I also think it's very neat and convenient to have the hotel attached. I've seen weddings in several different spaces within the building, including the main convention hall, the theater, and the lobby with tremendous natural light. In short, as a vendor I've been very pleased with my experiences at the Lima Civic Center. I frequently encourage my friends and family to inquire with the venue about having their wedding celebrations there.

From the onset when we first started talking to Bill and his team, he was attentive to our vision. His thoughtfulness, communication, and feedback helped put our minds at ease during the whole planning process. The mansion really is a one stop shop, especially if you have a more intimate wedding planned. Glassware, stemware, cutlery, and dishes are all available for the reception. We had our wedding in the fall and knew that we wanted amber glasses/ decor for the event and had let Bill know we were purchasing some of this for our guests to use. What we didn’t expect was for him to give us access to all of the existing decor in the mansion that matched our aesthetic. You’re truly not just getting a fantastic venue; you’re working with an amazing person. We also originally planned to have a tent for the reception (which Bill gave a list of recommended places to rent from), as well as our ceremony in a different part of the venue. We changed our mind as the wedding got closer and Bill was not only flexible with this, but supportive and understanding. He helped us layout where we wanted certain decorations to go, how the seating should be arrange, and helped us map out what the day of the wedding would look like. He was so professional and was arguably as excited about our wedding as we were. Leading up to the day of the wedding, some of our guests were staying at the mansion. Bill and his team prepared the rooms for our guests and even made the moments before the wedding memorable as well. They had full use of the mansion and he was a call away if anything was needed. The backyard was decorated with strings of lights, a dance floor, and he had both pews and chairs for our guests to sit in during the ceremony. As for the venue itself, it was originally built by a furniture manufacture near the early twentieth century. The incredibly detailed woodwork throughout the house and in the historic dining room furniture reflect this history beautifully. The downstairs has two fireplaces that made perfect locations for family and group photographs. A freak thunderstorm delayed our departure from the venue, and once again, Bill came through by allowing us to stay an additional night there to ensure our travels were safe. You really can search across the country, but we truly don’t believe you will find a better venue or team than you would here. It made a potentially stressful event into such an amazing start to our marriage.

We are newly built venue that opened in July of 2021. If you are looking for a "chic & classy" venue with quiet, picturesque views and beautiful sunsets, Ivory Meadows is your place! With natural rolling meadows, you will be in awe from the moment you pull into the winding driveway viewing the white barn on top of the hill. The lush green grass surrounds the venue with also a 2 acre wild flower field. When couples walk inside, they love the almost 30 foot high ceiling and the 5 aged iron elegant chandeliers. Our couples love the " white distressed shiplap" on the 3 walls and the ceiling, creating a beautiful backdrop for pictures. This blank canvas allows couples to create the look that they desire! Do as little or as much as you'd like. It's flexible enough to make it formal or even rustic if you like! The photo opportunities are endless with the different views on the rolling meadows. Our heated and screened in patio allows us to use this space all year for cocktail hour!
