Why do I take photos? Well I’m glad you asked! When I was a teenager I was thrown from one of my horses and lost my long term memory. Thankfully my father was into photography and I notice that looking back at family photos helped to trigger my memory! I started photography in high school and fell in love with all that my camera and I could do. In my college years at the University of Iowa, I was able to strengthen my photography skills by taking an internship with a wedding company. Shortly after graduation, I moved back to the Chicago suburbs and began growing my business. A few years later, and I am extremely grateful for everything I have been able to accomplish. ​

Because of him, our memories growing up are preserved. Then I got my first camera + tons of film. I documented everything. When film turned into digital, that was a turning point in my life. I've been passionate about documenting and creating since I was a little girl running wild in the suburbs of St. Paul. I would steal my parent's film camera and take dozens (okay maybe hundreds) of blurry photos of our dog. In high school, I spent babysitting money on a polaroid and then finally my beloved point and shoot, which was my favorite accessory for a night out! I was gifted my first DSLR in my early twenties, and that changed the way I looked at the role photography played in my life. What was always a beloved hobby became my passion, and I've never been happier.
