This magnificent Georgian-style home was built in 1914 for Cornelius Vanderbilt Truitt, a financier, and businessperson, by P. Thornton Marye, whose most famous project was the design of The Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. In 1937, the house was purchased by Nasour and Mary Mansour, the first generation of dry goods merchants known regionally for their Mansour’s Department Stores, first in LaGrange and then in other major cities in the region. The Truitt Vanderbilt Club has an incredible array of unique and experiential rooms, nooks, porches, crannies, lawns, and one-of-kind spots to make your special event very special. One of the big advantages of hosting your event here is the opportunity to use a combination of the expansive grounds that surround the interior spaces within this beautiful structure.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 1906 Greek Revival mansion was originally the Holberg Hotel. The 8,000 square foot Inn with nine guest bedrooms still has its original features: Georgia heart pine floors, ornate tin ceilings, elegant light fixtures and chandeliers, and eleven fireplaces. A beautiful garden, rocking chairs, and porch swings on the generous wrap-around veranda add to your journey back in time.

The venue offers a versatile and luxurious ambiance with its classic ballrooms that can make each couple’s wedding day special. Soirée can accommodate up to 550 guests, with its two indoor event spaces: the Grand Ballroom, which features artworks by local artists, a marble entrance, crystal chandeliers, and ebony hardwood floors; and the Royal Ballroom, with polished walls and recessed lighting, great for a classic event space. Soirée hosts wedding events such as ceremonies, receptions, bridal showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. Couples can choose from a list of preferred caterers, and Soirée offers bartenders who can serve at an open, capped or cash bar, with house beer, wine, and liquor options, or specialty/premium options available upon request.
