It all started with a beach wedding and a highlight film. That was my first wedding I filmed while I attended Penn State in 2002. During my college career, I got to film for THON, Penn State Athletics, and I was a Blue Band Videographer for 2 seasons. After I graduated, I worked for Penn State Sports Marketing. I had the privilege to create promotional videos for GOPSUSports GoPSF, Bryce Jordan Center, and Beaver Stadium's scoreboards. This experience covering events has prepared me for what I do now, running my video production business. I have been filming weddings for awesome couples since 2014!

Hello! My name is Alec and I run Small Batch Films! With a Master's Degree in Business Administration, I never thought I would find my love in wedding videography. I initially picked up a camera as a hobby, and then friends started asking me to do photography for them. Pretty soon I was doing photography for my friend's weddings, and I was hooked. It was such an exhilarating feeling to capture such an important day in the lives of two people in love! But where I really found my love was with the video camera.

Cinematography has given me the creative outlet to tell stories that I always wanted growing up and my couples have given me amazing stories to tell. My main philosophy when it comes to Wedding Filmmaking is that it is not only about creating a video that tells the story of the wedding day, but it’s also about creating a film that tells the story of the couple. My filming style has been described as documentarian and pleasantly discrete. I may stage a few shots from time to time and I will work with the photographer as they are posing you for specific shots, but my films are defined by the fleeting moments in the midst of a very busy day.

Hi! I'm Alëna! I’ve been making videos for over 10 years now. I believe in sucking the joy out of life and documenting it. It’s by immersing myself in travel that my eyes were first opened to videography. Being an adoptee from another country I fell in love with the process of collecting memories. I feel that my exposure to changing environments has allowed me to appreciate things from various perspectives and remain calm and assertive in fast pace situations. Such as weddings! I love capturing different traditions & religions AND of course documenting people in love or breaking the dance floor are my literal favs! Let's freakin' go yeah!?

It all started when of my cousins asked if I would film their wedding. Although it was not easy and I definitely had a lot to learn, I accepted.
