Soo Studio has beautiful indoor space of white walls and great natural light. Our 2,400 square foot space was designed to meet the needs of bridal and family studio sessions. In the mist of COVID we are using our Studio for micro weddings. Due to city restrictions of large gatherings, ceremonies are up to 50 guests. Original element of the 1928 Armory construction and subsequent Newman Recreations Center were incorporated into the even space renovation to provide the perfect blend of past and present.Iron-barred doors used to secure armers and thick concrete walls reinforced with brick to accommodate the National Guard Armory and shooting range lend a rustic industrial aesthetic. Wood from the recreation center bleachers line the dramatic bar and the orginial hardwood floor was dressed up to grace the ballroom. We are located in Southern Edgar County out in the country on a pond. We opened in August of 2010 and produce and bottle our own wine. Our banquet hall is 40x60. area. We have a stone fireplace on the South wall and a stone bar. The rest of the room is open. There is a separate door that enters the banquet hall from the outside, and an exit door to the wine garden outside. If you rent our banquet hall, we will supply you with tables & chairs. The tables will have white tablecloths. We do have a beer & liquor license, but this is for special events only and needs to be mentioned at the time of booking your event.
