My name is Rachel and I am the lead floral designer of Velvet Blooms. After studying music with an emphasis in vocals, I began to rethink what my creative path would be. With mentors such as Laura Williams of Poppy Hill Flowers and good friend Kelsea Olivia Gaynor of East Olivia, I began my journey into floral design and never looked back!

Her journey started at the age of six years old, Melissa-May was surrounded by all aspects of creativity. Her ability to visualize things, put them onto paper and create anything from scratch was also apparent at a young age when she completed an illustration of her dream house, then constructed an entire floor plan and a model house made out of popsicle sticks. Furthermore, at the age of 12, her friend’s mother noticed Melissa-May’s gift of artistry and requested that she create cartoon place cards for her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. She later was asked to create the invitations and centerpieces for her best friend’s Debutant ball.

I’m Natalie, the artist behind wildly designed. My love for florals blossomed when I was sixteen years old. We, my husband and I, started Fleurology for the need for a stronger connection with clients + the want to spend more time at home. We didn't know what we were in for with Fleurology Designs, but after 10 years in the floral industry (7 of those being with weddings and private events) my husband told me it was now or never to pursue my passions of being a business owner. Fast forward to today, 5.5 years later, we have a personal and customized wedding experience. We even kept a team busy during the pandemic + 3rd year of winning the Revues 2nd place as "Best event planner in West MI". Pushing for the highest of standards for experiences!

From planning her own 2005 wedding, Roxanne discovered her niche...she loved the organization and all the details that came with planning a wedding. In wasn't until 2007, when she helped plan her cousin’s wedding, that she knew she wanted to make use of her skills and passion! Her and her high school best friend put their passion and created what is now known as Details by Design Events. Although Roxanne now runs DBDE on her own, her best friend is never too far away to lend a helping hand! Roxanne is still happily married with two active young ones and a full-time career (it is the Bay Area after all!)!
