So yes from funk, to Motown, classic rock, Bollywood, EDM, afrobeats, house, blues, reggaeton, latin, cumbias, pop, lo-fi, jazz, alternative, experimental, hip-hop, punk rock, synth. It's also time and place, sometimes you're at the gym and I want rachet music, or you're staring off into the rain and want nothing lyrical. I started DJ’ing as a kid with two boom boxes, cassette mixtapes, and a deep love for music. I got into Turntablism and DJ’ing as an art form after completing a term in the Air Force. That's when I expanded my love for music and worked my way through college DJ’ing and doing voiceover. At Cal State I earned a B.A. in Film & Audio Production, and I then went on to become a certified Audio Engineer. When it comes to DJing for private events/venues like club rentals, weddings, corporate parties etc, I love my clients, and thrive on making meaningful connections.

Recognized as one of San Francisco’s premiere DJs, DJ Halo Effect hails from the foggy city and started his DJing career in 1998. He joined one of San Francisco’s pioneer Record Pools, Soul Disco Record Pool, and his DJ career took off equipped with an arsenal of promos of all the latest hits on vinyl and CDs.
