Matt Erickson Photography is the result of many years of love, persistence and passion on behalf of myself (Matt) and my wife, Amanda. Over the years we’ve discovered a heart for capturing weddings and creating fine art portraiture. Most importantly though, we are passionate about telling your story and forming a relationship with you! We are based in Cleveland, Ohio and serve couples around the globe.

My couples range all the way from attorney’s for the city of Chicago to small town midwest farmers. I’m a good mix of boujee and laidback — a little bit jimmy Choo, a little Lucchese too (but even those boots are pretty boujee.) Needless to say, I’m here for the boujee and the laidback.

Our goal, as wedding photographers, is to tell the story of your wedding. Not the story that’s been told a million times before through stale visual clichés, but a highly personal story that reveals the unique spirit of your day. We are the award-winning husband and wife duo behind Birch Tree Photography. We met in engineering school and starting shooting weddings together before we were even married. After our two adorable boys were born, Nina wanted to focus on being the best mom possible, so she switched gears a bit and started focusing on things like our couples' experience, scheduling, and social media. She still shoots a handful of weddings with me throughout the year, when time allows (or if there are food trucks involved... hint hint!)
