The Proper Way began when multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriters Shane Osguthorpe and Scott Rogers met while playing a local festival. They established themselves as The Proper Way in 2016, when a promoter invited them to come for a series of shows in Lake Tahoe. After touring nonstop for two years, the band joined forces with friend and fellow singer-songwriter Carrie Myers to release Ain't No Good Thing Ever Dies, a collection of songs by Bob Dylan and Tom Waits, in 2018. The musical connection with Myers was so obvious, and they had so much fun performing and recording as a trio, that Myers joined the band shortly afterwards.

The Man Cubs LOVE Disney music. ​ In 2017, the band members of Compass & Cavern and Creature Canopy joined forces and spent hundreds of hours listening to, transcribing, and practicing Disney songs to perform at a one-time show in Denver. Naturally, it was the time of their lives. Now, The Man Cubs perform alternative rock / pop punk versions of Disney mega-hits as a five-piece band. The first wedding we ever played was our own! We are Ashlyn and Mason Buonocore: life-long musicians, total goofballs, and founders of The Wedding Band. When we got married in 2016, we asked Mason's high school band (and best friends) to play live music at our wedding.
