I actually got started in this field when my sister-in-law needed some extra hands for her wedding in 2022. I stepped in and helped her create decor, oversaw the set-up process, and even coordinated between the DJ and the newlyweds to be sure they were ready for each special activity before it was announced. I'm so grateful I was able to fulfill such a vital role in making her special day perfect.

I have been planning events for the last 20 years, on the side. I have always loved hosting people, and I've done a few bridal and baby showers. At my previous job, I helped plan several employee luncheons and holiday parties, with about 100-150 employees attending. I even led the planning a few times. In the summers of 2021 and 2022, I became an on-site wedding coordinator for a local venue, with 5 weddings each summer. In 2023, I coordinated 11 weddings (from full planning to day-of coordination), a large gala for non-profits, an annual fundraiser, a memorial service (for 300+ guests) and a surprise birthday party.
