Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Our photographer recommended Misha and we are so glad she did! Misha is fantastic to work with, she is very kind, creative and professional and her love of flowers was apparent from our first conversation. Within an hour of our phone consultation, Misha sent my husband and I a proposal that included all the flowers we wanted for our wedding and prices for each arrangement. My husband and I did not have specific flowers in mind so we just shared a picture from Pinterest and our wedding colors and from there Misha used her creativity to put together beautiful bouquets and boutonnières. The flowers exceeded our expectations! The colors were perfect and the flowers were so fresh, they stayed nice the entire day and even after that! We are so glad that we chose Misha as our florist and would definitely recommend her to anyone getting married!

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

Redlands, CA
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves State College, PA

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
There have been so many stressful things about wedding planning, but the flowers with Faux Bouquets have been the least stressful. All I had to do was find some inspiration on Pinterest. After this, Brittany went to work and created my bouquet. We met over Google meets which was super easy, and she was so positive and kind. I told her that we changed some colors around in our color scheme and she went off camera, came back on and they were added to my bouquet. I think the most beautiful thing is that no matter how she mixed up my floral arrangement, it still was beautiful. After our phone call, I got a complete photo shoot of everything we ordered. Then in about 3 weeks, everything was shipped to my house. I do not have to worry about flowers dying, or flowers looking too fake (because they really look real) or even having to schedule a day to go pick them up. All I had to do was find pictures on Google and watch her do her magic over a 15-minute video call (if that long). If you are looking for something easy, stress-free, and beautiful, I would definitely use Faux Bouquets.

Helianthus and Lace

5.0

Linglestown, PA
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves State College, PA

Helianthus and Lace is a wedding and event floral design business serving the deeply in love and aiming to glorify Jesus through it all. Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun - I find this to be a great analogy for faith in Jesus. As we are growing and blooming in any stage of life, we should be continually turning our heads to the Son. Flowers have been a part of my life since 2014, and I have been flowering weddings since 2018. I'm so glad you are here!

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the pleasure of working with Amanda from Helianthus and Lace for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From the moment we met her, it was clear that Amanda was not only a talented florist but also a delight to work with. Amanda's choices and hard work that she put into creating our floral arrangements were nothing short of fabulous. Her creative vision and attention to detail were evident in every bouquet, centerpiece, and decorative arrangement. She patiently listened to our ideas, offered valuable suggestions, and brought our vision to life. Her expertise and knowledge of flowers, colors, and arrangements made the decision-making process a breeze. We felt confident in her choices and knew we were in good hands every step of the way. Amanda's professionalism and dedication were apparent throughout our wedding planning journey. Her punctuality and reliability on the big day ensured that everything ran smoothly. Our wedding day was made all the more special and memorable, thanks to Amanda's incredible talent and her warm, accommodating nature. We wholeheartedly recommend Amanda to anyone seeking a skilled and personable florist for their special occasion. Thank you, Amanda, for making our wedding day truly magical with your breathtaking floral creations. Brandyn and Morgan

Bloom Culture: Do-it-yourself Wedding Flowers

5.0

Oklahoma City, OK
  • Serves State College, PA

A common misconception about Bloom Culture is that we are telling people they SHOULD DIY their wedding flowers… when in reality we are telling people they CAN DIY their wedding flowers… if they want to. With Bloom Culture you can create you own wedding flowers with Confidence. We help you get creative, stay in-control of your wedding budget, and enjoy the most beautiful wedding flowers. We have pre-made DIY Flower Collections or you can get a custom design with our FREE online quote or chat with us one on one for more guidance!

Awarded Best of Zola
As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

Fiddlestix Florals and Wedding Coord

5.0

Gettysburg, PA
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves State College, PA

My earliest memories are always centered around picking flowers in my mothers gardens. I would grab one of the glass bottles she collected and play around with any flowers I could find. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

Tiara is one of the kindest people I’ve had the opportunity to get to know during the wedding planing process over the last two years. She is so talented, patient and calm. Her daughter, Maddie assisted her throughout our wedding day/night and was equally as helpful, polite and professional as her mother. We said multiple times that having Tiara and Maddie there was the best decision and money spent on our big day. I couldn’t have done it without them. Tiara was also a huge blessing at our rehearsal. Our family and parties felt comfortable and in the best hands from start to finish, and we feel like we made two new friends. Maddie even played with my niece who was younger than the rest of our guests. I also can’t emphasize enough how gorgeous our flowers and decorations came out! Do yourself a favor and book! You won’t be disappointed. Also, check out Tiara’s shop. She sells the cutest things!

Fairy Meadow Flowers

5.0

Hamden, CT
  • Starts at $4,500
  • Serves State College, PA

My name is Isabelle, and I grow chemical free, regenerative flowers and herbs on 3/4 of an acre in Hamden, CT. I truly love working on these blooms from start to finish, and I hope to get to share some of the beauty with you on your special day.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot recommend Best Friends Flowers highly enough! I hired them for my October wedding and they gave me the wedding florals of my dreams. Isabelle was communicative, collaboratively created a vision board, and turned my very vague, broad requests (“colorful”, “wildflower-ish”) into the most amazing bridesmaid bouquets, bridal bouquet, boutonnières, table flowers, and wedding arch. They take into account the wedding, the people, and the setting. I was so happy to have this business- a local, queer-owned, ethically focused small business- be a big part of my wedding day. Thank you Best Friends Flowers!!!!

After learning about Becca's ethical sourcing and seeing some of her prior work, we knew that we wanted her to be our wedding florist. From our initial consult via Zoom all the way through the post-event clean up, Becca was a total dream of a vendor--always extremely professional, responsive, and accommodating. She knows her product and is passionate about sustainability and ethical sourcing, both of which were important to us (especially in light of how wasteful weddings have the potential to be). Becca was able to work within our budget and identify areas where we could save money but still have the look we wanted. She created a beautiful piece that hung from our chuppah as well as an enchanted tablescape for our backyard wedding. We wanted something that would last a little longer than the typical ephemeral wedding flowers, so we worked with Becca to create a small "take home" plant gift for each guest (either an air plant or succulent) that worked well as part of the tablescape. I love visiting friends and family and seeing these little plants thriving in their new homes. Overall, I can't recommend Becca highly enough!

Flowers & Friends

5.0

Pitman, PA
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves State College, PA

My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. My parents had flower beds and brought the beautiful flowers inside to enjoy as well. I am passionate about being able to replicate flower gardens into a gorgeous design but also creating a unique design just for your day!

Awarded Best of Zola
Flowers and Friends is hands down the best florist. Melissa is extremely friendly, patient, and kind. She worked with me to plan out all of the details for my wedding day, answered all my questions about what different types of flowers would look like, and even helped me to pick out coordinating linen colors. She has such a natural talent for floral arrangements and everything she creates is absolutely gorgeous. My wedding flowers were perfect and more beautiful than I could have imagined. Melissa took my ideas and ran with them, creating unique and beautiful arrangements. She even thought of small details like drying the stems of our bouquets and providing extra vases to display the bouquets at the reception. If you want a florist who does amazing work and is amazing to work with, Flowers and Friends is the one!

Daughter’s Floral Design

  • Serves State College, PA

Serving Greater Philadelphia, Central PA, the Jersey Shore and beyond, Daughter's Floral Design is a boutique operation serving intimate gatherings to large events. From bouquets to grand installations, we can't wait to work with you to bring your wedding visions to life.

Awarded Best of Zola
Grace, owner of Daughter's Floral Design, made our dreams come true for our wedding florals. I originally thought I would do our wedding florals myself, and several months before our wedding decided I should leave this to the professionals. I am so glad I did and chose Daughter's Floral Design. We held a planning meeting with Grace so she could understand our vision, and she reviewed Pinterest inspiration boards I had pulled together. She understood my vague description of "whimsical, colorful, airy" perfectly. She was beyond patient as I sent over 3 updated suggestions to incorporate into revised proposal as my vision evolved. Grace helped tailor our design to accommodate decorative vases I found shopping one day that I fell in love with. She even rented specific lotus vases I saw she had used in a design on her instagram, and mixed these in flawlessly with my vases and the many other vases she brought herself for our centerpieces. My bridal bouquet exceeded all possible expectations. Using all locally sourced flowers was important to me which Grace was able to do, and everything was stunning. Grace made me feel like no additional question or request was a burden, and ensured she gave us the information we needed to stay within our budget. Planning a wedding is stressful, but Grace took all the stress off of us when it came to our florals, and we are so thankful.

Oopsy Daisy Florals is a custom floral design studio specializing in wedding and special occasion florals throughout West Virginia, Maryland, and northern Virginia. We design and create arrangements for all of life’s celebrations, big and small.

I hired Hannah for florals and planning for my wedding in April of 2024 in Leesburg, VA, and was so happy I did! I asked for bright, colorful florals and Hannah exceeded my expectations. I LOVE how my bouquet and the other floral decor turned out - they were beautiful without looking overly styled and were very unique (especially compared to the standard wedding florals I've seen!). I also leaned on Hannah and her expertise when selecting other decor (e.g., candles, place settings, etc.) as well as other vendors, which really helped pull everything together. In addition to her design skills, Hannah is very easy to work with. She is kind and really listened to what I was hoping to have at our wedding (even if it changed a few times lol). I highly recommend hiring Hannah and will be recommending her to my friends getting married in the DMV area!

Family is everything to us! I have always been a flower lover... Even as a child I would harvest all my grandmothers blooming flowers. Then make bouquets with them for my family. So it was no surprise in 2009 when I volunteered to arrange my cousins wedding flowers and fell in love! After that I was hooked and knew I wanted to pursue this as my career. So I complete a floral design course with Ashworth College in 2009 with honors.

Let Joy Be Your Compass is our business motto. That joy has led us to preserving gorgeous flowers in resin so that the joy of your special day can live on and on. A professional artist and art educator, I opened my business to share art and creativity with everyone I meet. Resin is an art medium I connected with immediately for its shiny, glasslike surface. I look forward to preserving your beautiful flowers to enjoy for a lifetime.

Joslyn’s work exceeds all expectations! Such attention to detail and professionalism. I recommend her work highly!

Located in York, PA, Blossom Bliss is a homegrown floral design company run by Kristen Adams. Specializing in unique floral installations + wedding day florals, Kristen and her team bring artistry and a fresh, organic style to your special events.

Kristen and the entire team at Blossom Bliss are incredible. Even from the very first intro call, Kristen's expertise, passion and kindness were apparent – and that remained true throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was responsive and worked closely with us to make sure our proposal was exactly what we wanted it to be. But most importantly, the way Kristen and her team brought our vision to life on our wedding day left us absolutely speechless (literally had no words when we first saw the reception space). The arrangements that she created were stunning, BEYOND anything that we even envisioned. Her work really pulled the entire event together, and so many guests commented on the incredible tablescapes as well. Also, I love that Blossom Bliss donates all remaining flowers (I believe they go to nursing homes and/or local hospitals if I'm remembering correctly). Knowing that the flowers were going to put a smile on someone else's face, rather than get thrown away after the wedding, brought a lot of joy. I highly, highly, highly recommend hiring Blossom Bliss for your event. You will not be disappointed!
