We chase the best of the season, often delighting in the underused and less-seen pod, fruiting branch, and oddity. During our region's non-growing season, we source from what is available to us from around the world, always keeping the mindset of the least ecological footprint option first.

Poppin' Peonies began to bud in 2020 & it has flourished in the last few years. I'm Bre, I am a solo-traveling florist and LOVE any adventure when it comes to a new area. Floral design began as a hobby and grew into a true passion. I love gardening and sourcing from local farms (in addition to my own garden!) as much as possible to give each client the best product possible. Pick a Bloom was founded on love and laughter in small-town Surry, Virginia by us, a mother daughter duo, who wanted to see our vision of fresh flower alternatives bloom to life. We work primarily with 100% REAL preserved and dried flowers and foliage.

Bloom designs for weddings. Full Service includes the formal, ceremony, and reception flowers as well as the set-up and takedown. When booked in advance, Bloom can grow specific flowers for you, as long as the season and climate permit. A limited number of full-service wedding clients are booked each year so please make arrangements early!
