With its classic red-stone architecture, stained glass features, custom woodwork ceiling arches, concert-quality sound system, and fine art gallery, the Walters is one of the west side’s most treasured sites for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and other special events. Whether you’d like an intimate family reception for 40 guests, an extravagant party for 200, or an outdoor reception on the lawn, the Walters provides a variety of amenable and affordable options for your big day. Located in the heart of Hillsboro’s historic downtown, this former church is a bustling nexus of cultural activity. Our facility is open Monday through Friday, with private rentals available on Saturday & Sunday.

Our Victorian countryside setting, with 25 stunning acres of rolling hills, winding vineyards, natural forest & modern event spaces integrates the best of old-world beauty with modern conveniences & amenities. Imagine your big day nestled among our sweeping landscape, in our renovated ranch house-style chapel and/or large event tent (both backed by a stunning water feature) with meandering walkways, courtyards & plenty of space for your caterer, hosted bar, DJ & guests! And if, “your heart is most alive among the tall trees,” host your ceremony & reception in one of our natural forest settings for an atmosphere that is even more immersive in nature.

Nestled in the trees on Parrett Mountain, our wine tasting room is a cozy, inviting lodge-style experience. Drink wine by the fire or sit outside for a fantastic view of Mt. St. Helens between the trees. Construction of the building incorporated Cedar, Fir, and Maple harvested from our property. This wood was used for the siding, along with the 3 bars: Cedar, Fir and Maple live edge slabs. At the center of the building stands the top of the Cedar tree, standing 28 feet tall. Specializing in Big Bold Reds, we also have some award-winning Pinot Noir and white wines as well as local beer on tap. Our tasting room is a versatile space for hosting many events: private tastings, meetings, birthdays, small casual weddings, and more. Events must be catered. We have preferred caterers but will consider outside caterers as requested. We can seat 64-70 people inside and on the patio, but allow a maximum of 85 guests per event. We have 45 parking spots and 2 Tesla Charging stations.

Built in 1925 and renovated in 2018 The Melody Event Center offers five distinct event spaces, accommodating up to 1,000 guests and offers flexible floor plans for every occasion. The elegant Melody Ballroom is nearly 6,000 square feet, welcoming up to 400 seated guest or up to 800 standing. The Melody Ballroom stands as our crown jewel with 30 foot high ceiling trimmed in gold, crystal chandeliers and a beautiful hardwood floor. We offer four additional spaces; The Morrison, Hawthorne, Portlandia and Broadway perfect for smaller events and meetings. Each room features this historic buildings original large scale windows displaying beautiful natural light.
