The Museum of Appalachia is an event venue situated on 60+ pastoral acres, surrounded by split rail fences, offering a captivating setting for your special day. Reminiscent of days gone by, the Museum offers a fresh event choice with a beautiful landscape, including rustic cabins, barns, and a quaint chapel. We offer wedding packages that are perfect for ceremonies and receptions of any size. We offer outdoor and indoor wedding packages, as well as a combination of both. We offer a barn-style indoor reception hall with a full-prep kitchen, antique serving bars and a capacity to comfortably seat up to 200 guests. Our covered porch provides additional reception seating while still allowing guests to take in the tranquil view of the Museum’s Pioneer Village. Our outdoor ceremony spaces are vast in number and capable of accommodating a group of any size.

We are a family built and run business that has been in operation for over 12 years! The Pavilion was designed and built by our owner, Nancy Barger, and her dad. It's situated on her family farm and overlooks Bluegrass Lake, which is right in the heart of Knoxville! While you may only be 15 minutes from downtown, and just right off of Northshore Dr, The Pavilion offers a quiet escape on the water. Our ceremony site is surrounded by trees and looks out onto the lake, giving our ceremonies a private, natural, feeling. We are well known for our beach, which expands a large part of our front yard! The beach is amazing for elopements, cocktail hours, cookouts and photos!

The Funkatorium's Barrelhouse is an expansive area featuring stone flooring, high ceilings, bright lights, floral installations and stacks of wooden barrels. Cultura's dining room offers seating for 65, along with décor features of natural elements, including a large selection of greenery and living plants, edible mushrooms, herbs, and wooden foeder barrel booths paired with vintage touches in glassware and silverware.

Experience the Star of Knoxville. This authentic paddlewheeler is United States Coast Guard approved for 235 passengers. The main deck seats 144 passengers and is fully enclosed, air conditioned, and heated for year round comfort. The vessel is equipped with two (2) beer bars, a dance floor, band stage, and is exquisitely decorated for the most elegant dinner and entertainment available. The Inn, originally named Engadine by its builder, Civil War Captain John Keais Hoyt, is an 1885 Queen Anne-style Victorian home. Engadine is on the National Register of Historic Places and has been restored and decorated to maintain its Victorian character and charm. It was converted to an inn in 1994 and has operated as one ever since.
