About this venue

A stunning venue for special events. I hosted my wedding there and it was the perfect spot for an intimate wedding, and our guests loved the venue! My husband and I stayed the night before the wedding at the Gingerbread House and it was great. Built-in 1899 by Cord Asendorf, this magnificent house is considered among the finest examples of Steamboat Gothic architecture in America. Today, The Gingerbread House is one of Savannah’s leading event venues in the heart of the Victorian district. It is the site of countless romantic weddings, anniversary parties, and other festivities.

The Gingerbread House

The Ultimate Event Destination

For all events, our site fee includes the entire venue. The Gingerbread House provides 10, 60 inch round tables with Gold Chiavari chairs. A professional host or hostess is provided for each event. The Gingerbread House welcomes the opportunity to make your special affair a unique and memorable experience. The Gingerbread House staff will assist you, your representative, ceremony official, wedding coordinator, caterer, or wedding director in any way possible to ensure that your special event is a memorable experience for you and your guests. If you need a planner or director, The Gingerbread House will be happy to help you with these services for an additional cost.

Rental of Venue Space for up to 4 hours which includes our elegant ballroom with built-in solid oak bar, two spacious rooms which are the main dining room and large sitting room, perfect areas for strolling receptions, buffet dinners, and heavy or light hors d’oeuvres / Up to 10 Tables and 100 chairs for Reception / Liability insurance / Set Up and breakdown / Use of Groom’s Room / Use of Bride’s Room with large personal restroom / On Site Venue Host or Hostess / Your Choice of Linens (59 Color options) / Access to the venue 3 hours prior to the event / Introductions to our preferred Caterers.
