The original communication and conversations with DJ Stavros leading up to the wedding were good. He arrived on time and brought an awesome set up with speakers, lights, a high quality photo booth, and fancy panel. There was a hiccup with the microphone not working at the ceremony, but it was quickly fixed. He played all of the ceremony songs and introduction songs accurately. We received a lot of positive feedback about the photo booth attendant Jordan and the amount of props he included. The photo booth stayed set up during the entire event which he gave us extra time for that and played a few songs past the ending time. However, he did not read the room well and did not play music requested by the bride, groom, and guests. The bride, groom, and several guests asked for EDM as there was no to limited amount of people on the dance floor most of the time and he never played fast dance music. Maybe he misunderstood that EDM was? He never pumped up the room by making announcements to encourage guests to get on the dance floor and the announcements he made were at a bare minimum. We requested a specific station to be played during dinner with low key chill house music and he played smooth jazz instead. A few of our guests commented that he was away eating at our buffet too long going back for several helpings and not at his DJ booth for long periods of time which I noticed as well. He also missed a few songs on the song request list and most importantly, did not read the blessings and script that the officiant gave to him which cut out an important part of the wedding. Overall I think he did a decent job, but at the end of the night, the bride, groom, and bridal party felt disappointed that he did not do a sufficient job getting the crowd on the dance floor and seemed to only play song requests when he was tipped.
