Dawson Entertainment is a DJ, lighting and photo booth company founded by Jason Dawson (DJ JD) in 2007. With his background in nightlife event production as Music Director and resident DJ at Shrine Nightclub inside Foxwoods, Jason combines the high energy, smooth transition mixing style of a nightclub DJ with the refined experience and fun playlist of a wedding DJ to keep the dance floor rocking! All of our DJ's come from this background of skilled mixing. Combine that with fun additions like Mirror Photo Booth, Uplighting and Marquee Letters and you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable event!

Wedding DJ of our dreams!!!
Having seen hundreds of incredible reviews, we had HIGH expectations for Jason Dawson, and yet he still managed to absolutely blow us away and exceed every single one. He is NEXT LEVEL. We were impressed from the very start by his level of organization, communication & kindness, which persisted throughout the entire planning process, and made it so easy and stress-free for us! We knew we had hired a good one but we had no idea just how insanely talented he truly is. He curated the most immaculate playlist and absolutely nailed every single mix - never in my life have I seen a dancefloor more lively, especially at a wedding! Three weeks later and our guests (of all ages) are still raving about how unbelievable our DJ was and how much fun they had. He truly gave us the wedding reception of our dreams. Even my 81 year-old grandfather, who is a self-proclaimed "grumpy old man," was up on his feet and dancing the entire time. We have some priceless memories thanks to the vibes, the mixes, and the energy that Jason provided. Everything was absolute perfection and we couldn't be more grateful!
Amazing DJ!
Dawson entertainment was an amazing DJ at our wedding. My husband and I had unique music requests (he loves metal, and hates pop music) and Jason was able to meet and exceed our expectations. The music during the reception was amazing. My husband and I spent the whole night dancing and singing and didn’t even get a chance to have own French fry bar. Dawson Entertainment also provided the music and sound for the ceremony and did amazing job with that. I highly recommend them for your wedding!
BEST DJ EVER!!!
There is only one word that comes to mind when I think of Dawson entertainment- PERFECTION! Jason and his staff go above and beyond to make sure the process from start to finish is seamless! I have worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years and I have see hundreds of DJs and no one comes close to Dawson Entertainment! We got the big “LOVE” marque letters that added such a beautiful touch to the room. Our first dance pictures are INSANELY GORGEOUS with those letters in the background! We also did the mirror photo booth- THIS IS A MUST!!! I’ve found some photo booths to be poor quality and cheesy- this is everything BUT those things! The mirror is elegant and classy, the backdrop (of your choice) was gorgeous, and his assistant was so professional and helpful!! Now- for the music portion- let’s just say the ENTIRE ROOM was on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG! I had so many future brides and grooms coming up to me asking for his information because they wanted Dawson entertainment to play at their up-coming wedding! Jason makes sure to have several discussions prior to the wedding to get to know his bride and groom to ensure he plays EXACTLY what you want! You tell him a “DO NOT PLAY” list and he will ensure they ARE NOT PLAYED- even if a guest requests it!! My biggest pet peeve is going to a wedding and having a bride or groom turn to me and say “UGH I Told them not to play this” or “oh I wish they played this”- you will not have that problem with Jason-because he creates a lineup of your choice prior! Also, if you are feeling another song that you didn’t think of when making your list- just tell him in the moment and he will also play it! Either way- YOU ARE IN THE BEST HANDS WITH JD!! :) Dawson entertainment without a doubt was THE BEST decision in our wedding planning process! You would be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t choose him as your DJ!! Thanks again to Dawson entertainment for making our wedding day THE FUNNEST day of our lives!!
