Dance The Night Away
In our invitations we recommend our guests bring two pairs of shoes. One primarily for photos and another just for dancing. Many questioned us but few knew of DJ Jon Don Myers. Alexa and I first danced to Jon back in 2019 and we both had blisters on our feet for our poor choice in footwear. We joked if we ever got married we’d have sneakers for DJ Jon Don Myers. Our entire wedding party agreed this was fate and we Danced The Night Away! Plus over the years DJ Jon must have invested in more lights and lasers cause it felt like a complete bargain for the production value he provided. Maybe my only advice to others is to let this man do his thing and keep requests to a minimum. It felt like any time we had an inside joke song come on the flow was distracting and thus we let the professional do his job. The moment of finally getting to that point in the night where everyone you love is circling you while Dua Lipa’s Levitating literally has my dad picking me up will be a core memory for the rest of my life. I didn’t even know he knew that song. He replied simply by screaming, “I’m Levitating!” When the night finally came to an end we asked to take a photo with DJ Jon and I think he was thoroughly impressed of how sweaty his tunes got us. And the best part, we had no blisters in the morning!
