Dom Petrellese Jazz Group

Dom Petrellese is a professional guitarist, educator, arranger, and booking agent based in Washington DC. As a graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has had the opportunity to perform worldwide as both a bandleader and a sideman with noteworthy names such as The Drifters, Yakov Smirnoff, The Platters, The Coasters, The Temptations, and Lou Gazzara, just to name a few. His music career thus far has brought him to 60 different countries on 4 continents. Currently, Dom adheres to a busy gig schedule in the Washington DC area, performing regularly at some of the area’s most recognized venues with a variety of different artists and projects.

A large part of his concentration pertains to contemporary Jazz and collaboration with some of the city’s best musicians. He is also very active in the private event and wedding circuit as a bandleader, soloist, sideman and (personal information protected by Zola) addition to playing and booking gigs, Dom is also a prominent music educator. His 13+ years of professional experience have enabled him to pass on his extensive knowledge of music theory, improvisation, sight reading, and contemporary guitar styles in the way of jazz, blues, rock, r&b, and folk.
