Creating the perfect live music experience for you is our life-long passion and we feel lucky to have been doing it together for weddings, corporate events, and more as a married couple. We love tailoring our sets to our clients’ styles so although we already have a large variety of classical, pop, rock, jazz, and more, we're always happy to learn new music. Fretless Strings provides more conventional string groups such as solo violin, violin/cello, violin/viola/cello, and 2 violins/viola/cello. Bowtime is a more unique ensemble, offering violin/marimba, violin/marimba/bass, violin/marimba/bass/guitar, and violin/marimba/bass/guitar/piano.

We hired Fretless for our wedding at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. They were professional, skilled, and fantastic. They were truly a highlight of the wedding. They did three custom songs for us, and they were all fantastic!

I hired Fretless (string quartet) for my wedding ceremony, and they were amazing! As a musician, it was so important to me to set the tone with a live string ensemble and they delivered. Stephanie was incredibly responsive, thorough, and easy to work with. 10/10.

I first heard Fretless Music perform a few years ago and have had the pleasure of seeing them perform numerous times since! They are all so talented and I can instantly tell when they are the musicians playing because I LOVE the energy their performances bring into any room they are in. Not only that, but there are no pretentious vibes here. Only friendliness, professionalism and a passion for what they do, which all goes such a long way!!!
