Best Wedding Band Ever!
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better band! They were great performers, their song selections matched the mood perfectly, and they even learned our first dance song so they could perform it. The music was a true highlight of the night, setting the tone and getting all our guests dancing. Having such a great live band made the whole night that much more special. We HIGHLY recommend the Lucky Devils!
Amazing band with so much energy!!!
When my husband and I started planning our wedding two years ago, we agreed right away that we both wanted a live band for the reception - it was the most important thing for both of us, as we knew we wanted that kind of energy in the room. As we researched bands (mostly through wedding-themed websites like Wedding Wire and The Knot), we came across the Lucky Devils Band and saw all of their good reviews. There are a lot of other bands you can find in and around Los Angeles, but they had one really big advantage that most other bands didn’t - regularly scheduled showcases where you could see them perform live. LDB were actually the first band we seriously considered, but we still did our due diligence and looked into a lot of other bands. We said to each other - we can’t just book the first band we find! Well, we ended up doing just that, and it was the best decision we made! Not only do they make it easy for couples to come see them live, they are also talented, professional, and truly affordable. Mike Smirnoff, the musician/producer who was our main point of contact was super responsive, friendly, and remembered us from early on (we ended up attending a lot of their showcases because we just enjoyed hearing them live!). The small downside to the band is that because they are essentially a collective, you won’t necessarily know which musicians will be playing on the day of your event, however, Mike took into account all of our specific requests for certain members we saw at each of their showcases, and he secured everyone that we had wanted. We had a six-piece band, which included two versatile musician/singers (Andrew on guitar & vocals, and Jason on keyboard and vocals) so we got the most bang for our buck. Kaitlyn was amazing on vocals, and Mark was killer on sax, with Dimitri on bass and Mike himself on drums rounding out the band. We got SO many compliments from our guests all night long - including from his parents, who are VERY picky about music, and from other friends who are composers/musicians themselves. Our wedding was in March, right as the pandemic panic was kicking into high gear - and we were very stressed about the cancellations and our own fears, but when the music started playing, we forgot about all of it and danced until we couldn’t feel our feet. We highly recommend the Lucky Devils Band to all couples!! Get yourselves to a showcase and see for yourselves how great they are!!
