About New York Ceremony Music

New York Ceremony Music

Cello and Guitar Duet

Topu Lyo and Randy Bergida began performing together in 1999 when their friends and siblings started getting married. With each event came many personal requests for music and they discovered their knack for arranging any type of song and founded the cornerstone of New York Ceremony Music with their custom arrangements on cello and guitar. They have been collaborating in their musical endeavors for 20 years and now they have a diverse, ever-growing repertoire ranging from The Beatles to Fleet Foxes, Elliot Smith to The National, Depeche Mode to Django Reinhardt and everything in between.

We've been performing together for over 20 years and have over 200 songs we have personally arranged and have memorized. In these 20 years we have released 15 records and have toured all over north america.

As a professional wedding officiant, I am always relieved when I see that NY Ceremony Music will be providing the music for a wedding ceremony. Randy and Topu are brilliant musicians, affable gentlemen, casual, classy, creative, improvisational and just a joy to work with. My ceremonies often include creative elements with musicians, and they are always quick to catch on to what I want to accomplish. I love them. I can't say enough good things about working with them!
