Ukulele Artist and Wedding Officiant

Through faith and hard work, Maui born local sensation Derick Sebastian continues to live his dream as an accomplished international ‘ukulele virtuoso. He's shared the stage with singer/songwriter pop star Jason Mraz, the melodic Raining Jane, powerhouse Trombone Shorty, country star icons Thompson Square and Sara Evans, and R&B sensations, Boyz II Men and Brian McKnight, and a highlighted private performance and ukulele lesson with Oprah Winfrey. Derick also has notable performances at many major sporting events and toured full-fledged around the globe, continuing his dedication to inspire lives through his music.

Derick has been playing the ukulele professionally for over 28 years. His faith, dedication and commitment to his gift of music has been second to none. He has taken the ukulele into uncharted waters throughout his musical path, yet remains humble and stays true to himself. While garnering many accomplishments and milestones, Derick's success has always been about the journey sharing Love and Aloha through his words and music.

    ALOOHA! I cannot say enough about Derick Sebastian. We love his singing, his Ukulele music, his ability to connect with our clients and their Families, and we especially love the way he officiates a Ceremony. We look to him for all of our events at Kea Lani! Derick is incredible to work with, and we hope he knows how lucky we feel to have him on our Team!

    What can we say other than we absolutely love Derick! He is the best! We eloped due to Covid, and then about nine months later we did our family and friends ceremony. Derick graciously officiated both ceremonies, and 100% customized his officiating to fit our wants. His personality and presentation shine as he is a natural, sincere, and engaging. Then, there are his musical talents he incorporates into the ceremonies as an option as well. Simply said, he is hands-down the best at what he does with the ukulele! Derick is now part of the family as far as we're concerned! He's the best!
