The Susie Hansen Latin Band is a popular and well-known Southern California band playing 100 to 150 weddings, special events, concerts and festivals every year. Our specialty is Latin dance music - salsa, cumbia, merengue, bachata, bolero, and cha cha cha.  If you'd like popular music, we can also play disco, swing, R&B, funk, Motown, classic rock and jazz standards like Frank Sinatra. We have three terrific lead singers -- our vocalist/conga player who sings lead on all the Latin styles; Susie on electric violin and bilingual vocals; our electric guitarist who sings lead vocals in English. We also have keyboards, bass, and drums/vocals.

Not only will we play great music at your celebration, but we can emcee your entire event, from the grand entrance till the very last dance. We'll help coordinate, too.  There is no additional charge for this service -- it's all part of our package. We'll meet with you in advance to work out your entire timeline. We can emcee all your formalities -- grand entrance, first dance, toasts/speeches, centerpiece game, parents dances, cake cutting, money dance, bouquet/garter toss, and more. It's like getting an emcee and a coordinator for free!

    We wanted a live band and could not have had a better one. A lot of our vendors were sadly really disappointing but every step of the way working with Susie and her band was effortless. Cannot recommend them enough. The DJ they partnered with was excellent and they even have a package deal with dance instructors that got EVERYONE on the dance floor. They MADE this party.

    My sound company has worked on weddings for the past twenty plus years with many bands. Susie Hansen is the most organized, is always on time, and keeps the audience dancing throughout the reception. It is quite common for family members of the Bride and Groom to hire Susie Hansen for their own events after experiencing her band at a wedding. Booking The Susie Hansen Band is like buying an insurance policy for a smoothly run, and very enjoyable wedding reception.

    My wife and I highly recommend Susie Hansen and her Latin band. They are a five star band in all categories. Susie and her band made everyone at our wedding feel very comfortable, gay or straight. Susie and her musicians are all so talented. They are very versatile and their huge song list includes many genres of music. The music reaches all generations from millennials to octogenarians. Music is very important to my wife and me, so when we decided to get married the first thing we did was call Susie. We picked a date for the wedding based on the band’s availability. Susie was so easy to work with and helped us in so many ways. She suggested the venue we used, acted as our MC, and she even learned a special song to which we walked down the aisle, “There’s a Place for Us.” It was a wonderful event thanks to Susie. An older friend said it was the best wedding she’d ever been to, even her own!

    Worked along side Susie Hansen. The band absolutely is awesome to work with. I also have seen first hand how she interacts with clients and vendors. She is amazing. They make the events even more special with their music.
