About The Downtown Collective
The Downtown Collective
The Downtown Collective Band was established in 2016 as just a couple of guys who wanted to jam out in the attic. We got some small gigs here and there doing hybrid DJ/live music performances. Then we found friends from music school/work that played instruments and made the jam bigger and got more gigs. Now we are known as one of the top bands in the Midwest. We love playing live music because you get a much more authentic experience with people actually playing instruments and sharing what they feel deep down in their soul as they perform! All of our past clients agree- Downtown Collective is a high energy group that gets everyone dancing!
We aren't like your typical band because we like to put the focus on the event and the people involved. We are really good at reading the crowd and mixing our set list up to play music for everyone. The stage and dance floor combines into a community of people having the time of their lives! People are dancing AND singing with us. Yes we are a cover band, but we actually cover the songs and do our own little spins on the arrangements of the songs.

Our experience with Downtown Collective was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we booked them to the last song of the night, they were professional, accommodating, and incredibly talented. The band created an amazing atmosphere, and our guests were on the dance floor all night long. Their energy and ability to read the crowd were exceptional. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great the band was. They truly made our wedding day unforgettable. We can’t thank them enough for being a highlight of our special day! :)

About a year before our wedding, we saw Downtown Collective perform live. They were AMAZING, and we knew immediately that we wanted to book them for our big day. They were so great to work with throughout the planning process and made everything so easy for us! The band members are all incredibly talented, have the best energy, and kept the dance floor packed all night. Our guests LOVED them! Little did I know, this choice would transform our evening into an unforgettable celebration! The buzz about 'the band' still lingers, with friends and family actively brainstorming events just to have an excuse to book them. From the moment they set foot on stage, it was evident that they were not just performers but true professionals. Their polished appearance set the tone, and the unexpected delight of dancing with our guests between sets added an extra layer of engagement. What set them apart even further was their proactive approach. Arriving at the reception, I felt an immense relief knowing they would expertly MC the event, ensuring everything flowed seamlessly according to plan. Their regular check-ins, filled with minimal questions and assurances that everything was right on schedule, demonstrated their commitment to excellence. Opting for the package that included a photo booth turned out to be a stroke of genius. The booth became an enormous hit, surpassing all expectations. In trying to capture the essence of our experience, this review falls short. The Downtown Collective Band is simply exceptional—beyond words. My encounter with them was nothing short of wonderful, and every penny invested in their services was unquestionably worth it.
