We are a women-owned business started by a couple of moms who were passionate about making beautiful tasty cakes for their families & friends. We have grown into a bakery that specializes in custom cakes & desserts for any occasion. If you can dream it up, we can make it a reality!

    When we met with Liz, the Wedding Coordinator at Sweetened Memories for our tasting, we were super excited as there was a large variety of Gluten-Free options as I have Celiac Disease. She was very pleasant to talk with and the desserts, both GF and non-GF (my husband tried a non-GF options) were delicious!! We decided to book with Sweetened Memories and were happy with the price and ability to rent display pieces for a small refundable fee. All of our desserts were delicious when the wedding came and we got a ton of compliments from our guests. However, we did have a couple of issues. First of all, we were unable to find another way to pay our down our balance in a way other than going into the store. On one occasion of attempting to do this, we were unable to pay as one there was no one available that knew how the process worked. Another issue we had was that when we dropped off our display rentals, the person who took them from us was apparently new and did not know the protocol. This meant that our rentals weren't checked in properly and we received an email saying that we "had not returned the rental back in time" and would be penalized a late fee out of our refundable deposit. Thankfully this was taken care of quickly and Liz apologized for the confusion but the unnecessary stress wasn't helpful after all the stress of the wedding. Finally, we had ordered Gluten-Free sugar cookies and had also asked for all of our desserts to be labeled to help out guests who were GF/Vegan know what they could eat and couldn't eat. The label for the GF Sugar cookies did not say anything about the cookies being GF, so our GF guests (including myself) were unable to eat them as it was not labeled correctly. When I shared with the bakery, the response was "We have a new assistant in the wedding department who has started making my flavor tags, so I'm guessing she accidentally forgot the Gluten Free part of the label". While this is not as big a deal as if they had labelled non-GF food Gluten-Free, this still made us unsure if they were safe to eat and I did not get to eat something we ordered specifically so that we could. We also were missing 1 dozen regular Sugar Cookies, which we didn't notice until we got our photos back and saw the photos of the Dessert Bar. Overall, kind people and quick responders, delicious baked goods, but some small hiccups along the way detracted a little bit from the overall experience.

    We went in for our tasting and it was super fun and relaxed. They listened to what we were looking for and what our budget was and they made something amazing! They communicated great and even though there was a slight hiccup on delivery time the day of, they made an amazing cake and my guest loved it!

    Sweetened memories was so great to work with! At our tasting, we got to try so many different combinations and flavors and look through idea books. This was so helpful in crafting our dessert table! We ended up choosing an assortment of cupcakes, cookie sandwiches, and whoopie pies for our guests. Our venue told us they’d never seen a dessert table raided that fast before! For my husband and I, we opted for a small cake with flowers from our florist. Everything eas amazing. Sweetened Memories was so easy to work with and we’d definitely recommend them again!
