Hi! My name is Ashley Schwartz and I am the owner and baker here at Torta! I enjoyed baking when I was little, especially the times when my family would bake Christmas cookies together, but it wasn't until high school when I took a cake decorating class at Micheal's with my mom and sister that I discovered baking as an art form and truly fell in love. During my senior year, I decided to pursue baking as a career. While I loved working for local businesses, I wanted to be able to connect my baking back to my roots and began to experiment with my own recipes from my childhood. I started selling my baked goods to friends and family.

With the increasing interest in my desserts, I decided to make my little business official.
