Growing up in a food driven world since his childhood, Chef David has always known he was destined to be in the food service industry. His culinary education & experience have taken him to such places as Kent Country Club in Grand Rapids Michigan, Tavern on the Creek & the Hilton Resort on Hilton Head Island, and Nantucket Island at the Straight Wharf Restaurant and Harbor House Hotel. As Chef/Owner of Great Events Catering, Chef David continues to apply his professional experience, personalized service, creative flavor profiles and unique presentations, to elevate his Key West catering company to the next level.

    We've known Great Events for years and often had their food, which is always outstanding, but not had them do an event for us. I turned 60 this year and was planning a big party...but then COVID happened. We did a private chef dinner for just 4 of us - but it was made so special throughout. Julie was very concerned that I still get to have a great experience even in the middle of a pandemic. She had great suggestions and came up with just some fun options from table linens to wine pairings, to the great menu items. And of course, then there's Chef Dave's food. It's just over the top. Avocado salad with pickled watermelon, smoked beef tenderloin with warm mushroom salad and parmesan risotto and Triple chocolate naked cake with chocolate buttercream. I wanted chocolate cake - kinda like when I was a kid. Check out the pictures on Great Events website. I got what I asked for and then some! I also want to mention Dave's warm hospitality during the evening. With such a small group it could have been a little awkward - but he's just so warm and genuine that we all just really relaxed and let him take care of the evening for us. It really let us forget about the pandemic and all of the other worries and just relax and have a great time.

    Great Events did an amazing job catering the food for our wedding at the Truman White House and welcome party on the Fury our guest still talk about how much fun they had at our wedding and how delicious the food was 4 years later. I highly recommend Great Events catering for your event!
