Where do you source your ingredients?

We work with many local purveyors, makers & farms in and around Central Texas. We source locally wherever possible and always love suggestions for new partners in collaboration.

What if I have allergies?

Accepted Answer

While we can work with you to exclude certain ingredients from the menu... we do use gluten, nut, dairy, and meat products in our commercial kitchen for the preparation of other events and some menu items are not possible to adapt to specific dietary requests. We can exclude to the best of our ability and have the ability to prepare individual meals for specific needs.

Is your food company insured for my venue?

Accepted Answer

Yes. La Pera Catering carries the required general liability & liquor liability insurance to perform offsite catered events and bartending services. We are also happy to provide a COI to your venue for service.

Question 4

Is your team and kitchen health code compliant and Texas Food Handler certified?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We are fully licensed and permitted with the City of Austin & Travis County. All of our employees are required to maintain an active Texas Food Handler’s Certification registered with the City of Austin. Upon booking, we are happy to provide these items to the respective parties that need it.

How do I start planning my catering event with La Pera?

Accepted Answer

Begin by sending us an inquiry online, or giving us a ring at 512-591-8554. You will be directed to one of our event specialists to jot down the details of your event and they will create a proposal based on your venue, timeline, and service style.

Question 6

How early in advance do I need to plan my Full Service catering event?

Accepted Answer

We take a limited number of weddings and fully serviced events for each date to maintain our commitment to excellent hospitality. We have a tendency to book out very quickly for peak season weekend dates and recommend securing your date 6 to 8 months minimum for weddings or more intricate service styles.

Question 7

I need to postpone or cancel my Full Service event. Can I get a refund on my first installment?

Accepted Answer

The first installment allows our team to begin work on planning your event, therefore we cannot offer a refund on any prepaid funds received and agreed upon. We can cancel the 2nd installment or final balance and effectively cancel the event up to 30 days in advance of the originally selected event date, or transfer your event to a different date in the future that is available.

Question 8

Can I provide my own alcohol for my event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. La Pera Catering is licensed to provide bartending services and cannot directly purchase your liquor. We can assist to subcontract a liquor purchase through one of our partners for special events.

Question 9

Can we schedule a private tasting to try our menu?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We do private tastings that include a plethora of your favorite cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and menu items to really be able to get a great idea of our plating and flavor profiles. Private tastings can be booked, availability dependant, Monday through Thursday, for $55/ guest for up to 6 guests.

Question 10

Do you offer help with rentals and staffing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All of our wedding services include staffing estimates for the full timeline of your event and our team is always there for set up and clean up. Our planning team will assist in coordinating rentals fully, or will make sure we have your rental order handy to organize and set up to your specifications.
