As a flower farmer and florist, I believe that seasonal and local flowers can truly elevate your experience on your wedding day! I specialize in mindful and intimate celebrations that encourage couples to connect not only with each other, but to their environment. I do my best to capture the island's essence; Block Island is a very special place and knowing that my couples intentionally chose this location, gives me the opportunity to highlight it in my arrangements.

Seasonal flowers have more of an affect than you may think! I want couples to remember their day in full, with all of their senses activated- the feelings, the tastes, the smells, the aesthetics- and seasonal flowers heighten that memory, whether it's Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter! Couples can also rest easy knowing that supporting seasonal and locally grown blooms helps reduce the carbon footprint of the industry! I provide creative florals for weddings & events, and specialize in flower crown workshops for wedding parties, bachelorettes, or any other gathering!

    Mimi was so professional and a pleasure to work with every step of the way. After our first meeting, she sent me over a beautiful color palette based on our discussion and the types of florals she would use. I was thrilled! Fast forward and COVID 2020 threw a wrench in all our big wedding plans. We canceled our "big wedding" but still planned to marry and still needed florals! I told Mimi the color palette no longer mattered, just make me something beautiful, and boy did she deliver! I am so glad I let Mimi do her thing and take artistic discretion. I could have never dreamt up the beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres she created. Mimi does incredible work, you won't regret working with her.

    I absolutely loved my flowers for my wedding! I highly recommend using Mimi. My wedding was in the Fall and I had a Fall color scheme. Mimi was able to put together the most beautiful fall flowers (burgundy, orange, and green). The flowers were naturally beautiful. Mimi also has a lot of passion, which showed with how everything came out. I have received a lot of compliments from people on the flowers I had at my wedding. Also, a few days before my wedding, Mimi led a flower crown making work shop with my bridesmaids and me. It was super fun!

    We were so excited to work with Mimi after seeing the gorgeous arrangements featured on her Instagram page, and every part of the process exceeded our expectations. Mimi was responsive, consistent, kind, and clearly so knowledgeable. Every arrangement perfectly enhanced the space and the color scheme, from the bouquets and corsages to the amazing arbor florals for the alter.     I was undecided on flowers till about 2 weeks before our wedding. I spoke with Mimi and she helped walk me through different options that were available and was so patient with me. Mimi set up and cleaned up diligently (even in the middle of a storm after the wedding) and was great to work with throughout. Our wedding would have had an entirely different ambiance without The Farmer Florist. Mimi picked perfect flowers and my bouquet was incredible. I still get compliments about them when people see photos! I would not hesitate to recommend Mimi to anyone!
