Gardenwild Floral Design

Our mission is to help you create a beautiful and memorable event you and your guests will love. The work we do is wild and artful. All our floral pieces use local flowers & foliage you won’t find anywhere else (cause we grow them ourselves) and tried and true favorites from other Alaskan farmers and beyond.

Our earth-friendly designs are wild, elegant and inspired by our lush gardens. We care deeply about our customers and want to help you create the most amazing event. We offer a full line of custom-designed floral items for your wedding celebration including bridal bouquets, arrangements, and installations. In addition, we offer elopement bouquets made especially for adventurous couples eloping in the wilds of Alaska.

    Greta was truly so great to work with! Her responses were quick. She was extremely easy to work with. We went back and forth on what exactly we envisioned for florals for our special event, and Greta was happy to work with me every step of the way. The florals themselves turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I gave her a few criteria on what I did and didn't want, but left the artistic planning up to her. She truly delivered the most beautiful bouquet. Additionally, the bouquet lasted through some pretty serious Alaskan weather, and still looked fantastic the next day.

    I was hesitant to go with just anyone, but after our phone call with Greta, I knew she was a perfect fit. She was unbelievably helpful, friendly, warm hearted, offered great advice and recommendations, was on time, great help.. and the event space looked spectacular. We let her do her thing and honestly, I wouldn't have changed a thing. The flowers were breathtaking, the variety, and colors matched my color palette to a T. You can tell she's extremely passionate about what she does. Now looking back at the photos I wish I was able to take them all home with me to MN! Thank you Greta for your expertise. We had a wonderful experience with you!

    When choosing vendors for my wedding in Girdwood, I felt overwhelmed by the options, the cost, and my relative lack of knowledge about florals, photography, decor, etc. Although my partner and I didn't have a specific vision of what we wanted our ceremony and reception spaces to look like, we knew what we wanted it to feel like: a cozy, intimate celebration amidst all of the beautiful colors of Alaska in the fall. Greta stuck out to me for her passion for growing and her incredible knowledge and respect for the land -- qualities that aligned so well with our desire for having a celebration that felt laid-back, organic, and unique to us and our space. In the months between signing our contract and the wedding itself, we decided to add two standalone pieces that we could move from the ceremony to the reception. As with the rest of our floral pieces, Greta was great at accommodating our budget without compromising on quality. Receiving my bouquet from Greta was one of the best surprises of my wedding day, because I couldn't wait to see what she had designed! From including her family in her work to giving thank you notes to the other vendors, Greta was incredibly kind and exactly the kind of person you want to work with. Thank you so much, Greta.     I didn't have a traditional color theme for my wedding, the only theme I had was wild flowers. I got married at a flower nursery and I knew I wanted a wild and romantic bouquet that looked effortless, like I had just gone into a field and picked a huge wild bouquet of Alaskan wild flowers. I knew this wasn't as easy as that and if I wanted my vision to come together I would need a florist that would be invested enough to capture what I only saw in my minds eye. Greta was amazing to work with! She asked for inspiration photos and what I liked in particular about each one I showed her. I was so in love with how the bouquet turned out, full of color and dimension and perfectly constructed to look whimsical and dreamy. She took a lot of stress out of a potentially stressful day.
