Seasoned Virginia wedding photographer Akbar Sayed Photography creates authentic imagery and cinematography for modern couples, families and businesses. We believe that creating exceptional photography requires not just skill, but empathy, kindness and a whole lot of fun so that you always feel comfortable in front of our cameras. Based in Leesburg, Virginia, we love working in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and around the world for destination weddings and events. When people ask me what I do for a living I tell them that I’m a registered nurse and a wedding photographer. Most people immediately comment on what different professions those are, but my response is that they’re actually quite similar. As an RN in the emergency room, I had to be ready to anticipate the needs of my patients, be watchful, capable, empathetic and comforting. Now step outside of the ER and into a wedding day or photo shoot, and there’s not a single person who wouldn’t want those same characteristics in their photographer.

    Ladies and gents, wedding planning is stressful as heck... let me save you some grief, HIRE AKBAR. He captured photos I would not even have the creative imagination to request. Apart from the incredible level of skill that Akbar brings to his craft, his kindness and calming nature really plays a central role in making your wedding day better. Akbar went above and beyond, not only did he captured natural, timeless photos from the wedding... he worked with all of my vendors and family (edit: my crazy family) to ensure that everything went smoothly. After the wedding, many of my friends and family even noted to me that they noticed Akbar working tirelessly throughout the entire wedding to capture every special moment.
