About Ampersand Photography
Ampersand Photography
I started Ampersand Photography in 2022, but I’m not new to the scene. I’ve been in the wedding photography industry for 8 years as a second shooter and offering limited packages on my own. I also offer family portraits, head shots, milestone sessions, boudoir, senior portraits and more. I love audiobooks, potatoes in all forms (including raw), playing games, peanut butter, ice cream, dogs, and truly just being around people. I love listening to others' stories. I love grandparents. I love people, genuinely.
My clients often say that I provide structure to make their day so much easier than they anticipated, and that they feel naturally comfortable around me. I believe communication is key to your day running smoothly, as well as being available to answer your questions! I don't believe in strangers, just friends I haven't met yet. I love people for who they are, and celebrate the human experience across all of our spectrums.

Sam is A DREAM to work with
I’ve spent years admiring Sam’s work and finally had the joy of using her this year. She helped bring my creative vision to life for my engagement pictures and will be doing my wedding photography too. She’s so kind, a great communicator and knows how to turn your ideas into realities. I would recommend her to anyone.
Excellent photographer
Sam is wonderful. She is easy to work with, quick to respond, and listens to what you want. Her rates are also reasonable. My husband and I worked with her for the first time for our engagement session and she was a great fit. We were able to relax and have fun. She photographed our wedding (and helped me plan the timeline and any other questions I had regarding the wedding) Her work is beautiful! We can’t rate her highly enough.

Sam is the most amazing and joyful person to work with. She really listens and thinks of all the things we wouldn’t have even considered. So far she has knocked our engagement photos way out of the park, and we are so very excited for the creative energy that she’ll bring to the main event!

Sam really takes the time to get to know you, and what you want for pictures of your day. She is professional, on time, fun and goes above and beyond for your photos! She did our wedding in 2019 and my maternity photos in 2023. Excellent quality! Up for ideas and candids. Highly recommend her, she’s a wonderful photographer and human!!
