I am a small-town girl originally from Northern California. I began photographing the world around me at age 16 and went on to study film photography at my local Community College in my hometown and took almost every class they offered (I still shoot film to this day!). I officially started my business in 2011 and I have been serving Southern California for the last ten plus years with award-winning services.

A couple of other things I am into besides capturing your special moments is yoga and pilates, true crime podcasts, reading, sparkling water, rap music, and Mexican food. I also continue to learn and work hard at my craft by educating and pushing myself creatively every day. My clients will tell you I bring a warm, comfortable, stress-free atmosphere to photoshoots and weddings alike. I am awesome with children (I have had lots of practice!) even those with special needs.

    I found Amy Captures Love through WeddingWire. After a few messages and phone calls, I narrowed it down to Amy because her photos look so natural and authentic and each photo she took has life and sweet moments in them that no other photographers was able to capture. After a few phone calls, and messages, my then fiance and I chose her because she was very professional, timely and set realistic expectations for us. One other thing I also considered was that Amy has worked a lot with families with little children & babies. This was part of our deciding factor because there were a few kids and toddlers that will be at our wedding and I wanted a photographer that knew how to work with children. Our first session with her was our engagement photo shoot and she made each posing moment comfortable and not awkward at all. When it came to our wedding day, everything exceeded our expectations!! She had a timeline and she made the whole process so easy! I'm part Filipino so I had a lot of family and family categories(cousins, aunties, etc.) to go through and she was able to organize everything and make it smooth, easy, and flawless-just what it should be for any bride on her wedding day. Her price point is reasonable and realistic to what you're getting. I have nothing but praises for Amy. When the time comes for our family to expand, I'll definite work with her again!! Choose Amy and you will not regret it. It's been about a year and a half and my family still talks about our wedding photos!

    As a wedding planner, it is vital the vendors my couples hire are professional, personable, work efficiently but most importantly, independently.
