I'm a born and raised Michigander living out my coastal dreams in Southern California. I've always been passionate about photography. I've been behind a camera since 2010! I love spending sunsets with my clients and capturing their love and joy. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me exploring new restaurants, spending time with family and friends or curled up with my rescue pup, Huxley and a good book.

I believe in creating a fun, comfortable space for my clients to open up, relax and truly enjoy their time in front of my camera. I understand that, for many, having photos taken can be a stressful experience. That's why I'm committed to cheering you on, melting away your fears and showing you what a fun experience it can turn out to be. We will walk, talk, laugh and twirl our way through our time together, and create incredible memories and beautiful images along the way.

    Athena is awesome! I don't generally like photo shoots...I never had so much fun! Athena captured my engagement & wedding pictures with professionalism and an eye for those 'perfect shots' (she caught an in-air bouquet catch that was amazing!) I HIGHLY recommend Athena for any special moment you want to remember!

    Athena was a dream to work with! She was our wedding photographer and went above and beyond to give us a great experience. And the photos came out gorgeous! I am a plus-size woman and Athena is a safe photographer for big people to work with - she made me feel valued and shot me beautifully. One hundred percent recommend her. If she was still living in our area, I’d be finding a bunch of other reasons to have her photograph us some more.

    Athena photographed our wedding for us and we cannot recommend her highly enough! Every aspect of the entire experience, from planning and booking all the way through the wedding and receiving our photo album -- everything was above and beyond our expectations. Athena is super professional but also extremely friendly and personable. She made us feel comfortable in front of the lens, and gave us all the right cues to get amazing photos. She walked us through what to expect from start to finish, helped us plan ahead to get exactly the photos we wanted, and coordinated with us on the day of the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. We honestly could not have asked for more, and we are forever grateful to Athena for everything she did for us. We are hoping to convert Athena to a family photographer as well -- we would love to continue to have her shoot important life moments for us through the years.
