About Capture the North
Capture the North
Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.
Capture the North was founded on the idea of authentically photographing the beauty of the region, with the people who make New England so beautiful. We strive to ensure you have a session full of love and laughter and leave you excited to see your heirloom images. We work with you throughout the whole process to ensure you end up with your dream images that you can't wait to share and pass down to your friends and family for years to come.

Amazing!!
Sarah is beyond talented! She has an amazing eye and everything she captures comes out beautifully! Besides talented, she is sweet, professional and passionate about her work. Working Capture the North is always a pleasure.
Fun and easy to work with
Sarah is always a delight to work with. She is easygoing and brings calm to the room. I love that she captures all the photos that we ask for and adds some that we didn't know we needed! She is also straightforward to communicate with.

Loved Capture the North!
We loved having Sarah photograph our engagement photos and our wedding day! She made us feel comfortable even though we are not usually camera people. On our wedding day, we really wanted a photographer who was going to get great shots, but also not interfere with the day very much. Sarah did just what we wanted! She made sure to get beautiful photos, but also gave us space to enjoy our day. We cherish our wedding photos and highly recommend working with Capture the North!!
